Seven Elected to Graduate Management Admission Council Board of Directors

Seven leaders in business and education have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

They join a 14-member board that includes representatives from academe and industry around the world. The board sets strategic goals and guides the Council, a nonprofit organization of leading graduate business schools worldwide. The Council also owns and administers the GMAT exam, used as part of the admissions process at more than 4,600 graduate management education programs in almost 2,000 business schools.

The new directors include:

  • James W. Bradford, dean, Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee
  • James M. Danko, dean, Villanova School of Business, Villanova University, Villanova, Pennsylvania
  • Stacey Kole, deputy dean, full-time MBA program and clinical professor of economics, Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois
  • Peggy Bishop Lane, deputy vice dean and adjunct associate professor of accounting, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Rosemarie Mecca, retired executive vice president and chief financial officer, Laureate Education Inc., Baltimore, Maryland
  • Alfons Sauquet, dean, ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain
  • Alexander Sevilla, assistant dean and director, MBA programs, Warrington College of Business Administration, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida
