June 25, 2015, DENVER, Colo. – The Graduate Management Admission Council® (GMAC®) welcomed a new chair and three additions to its board of directors at its annual business meeting in Denver, Colo. In addition, The Indian Institute of Management, or IIM, Indore has become GMAC’s 213th member school.
Chairing the board will be Ellen J. Glazerman, executive director of the Ernst & Young Foundation, and the America’s director of University Relations for EY. Arriving to the board are K. Ravi Kumar, Ph.D., dean and Shaw chair professor of Nanyang Business School (NBS) at Nanyang Technological Universityin Singapore; and Nick Barniville, associate dean, Degree Programmes (MBA and Masters) at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin, Germany. Donna Rapaccioli, Ph.D., dean of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, has been elected to serve her first full term on the GMAC board. She had spent the past year completing a vacated dean director term.
“GMAC’s board members have immense experience working with schools and students and their expertise is instrumental in advancing the strategic direction of this organization,” said GMAC CEO Sangeet Chowfla. “I look forward to working with Ellen and the GMAC board in strengthening the foundation that will successfully guide GMAC for years to come.”

Terms of board chairs are one year, and board member terms are four years. All director terms begin July 1, 2015.
Glazerman is the executive director of the Ernst & Young Foundation, and the America’s director of University Relations for EY. She also supports a variety of initiatives within the firm’s Office of Public Policy. She joined EY in May of 1993 as the director of the Ernst & Young Foundation.
Kumar is currently the Shaw chair professor and dean of Nanyang Business School (NBS) at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He has been instrumental in the setting up of the Centre for African Studies (CAS), the first research centre of its kind in the world, hosted in a business school and the Centre for Applied Financial Education (CAFE), the largest finance lab in Singapore, focused on cutting edge technology and real-time financial, economic and business news information.
Barniville, who serves as associate dean, Degree Programmes (MBA and Masters) at ESMT, is responsible for the management and development of Masters, full-time and executive MBA Programmes. His focus includes programme delivery and curricular development, marketing, corporate relations, accreditations, rankings, admissions, student and career services, technology and program innovation.
Rapaccioli is dean of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, where she holds the rank of university professor. As an administrator, Rapaccioli has earned a reputation for creating academic programs that emphasize applied learning, a global perspective, interdisciplinary thinking, and strong ties with industry. Her philosophy centers on business with purpose, grounded in the Jesuit-influenced principle that commerce should advance society in a greater way.
In addition to welcoming these board members, GMAC announced IIM Indore as its 10th member school in India.
