What is the Executive Assessment Online?
The Executive Assessment Online is an online and remote proctored interim solution developed to support test takers and schools during the disruption to test center-based delivery due to the COVID-19 pandemic related closures.
Who can take Executive Assessment Online?
While the Executive Assessment Online is open to all test takers, the online format is intended to help those who are working to meet upcoming program deadlines complete their applications.
The Executive Assessment Online is available in most locations except for Mainland China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Sudan, due to regulatory and local data privacy rules.
Can a candidate take the Executive Assessment Online if test centers in their region are open?
Yes, the Executive Assessment Online is open to all test takers.
If test centers in a candidate’s location are open and they feel safe accessing a test center facility, they are encouraged to do so.
Please note that we are closely following local government directives to ensure the health and safety of our test takers and test center staff. All our test centers that are currently open have enhanced safety and hygiene practices in place.
What is the structure of the Executive Assessment Online?
The Executive Assessment Online has the same structure as the Executive Assessment delivered in test centers. There are three sections: Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. To enable comparability, the EA will have the same type and number of items and section times as the assessment administered in test centers. It will also use the same scoring algorithm and score scale for the Section Scores and Total Score as the test center-based version. .
How long is the Executive Assessment Online?
The timing for the Executive Assessment Online is the same: 90 minutes total.
How can test takers prepare for the assessment? Does it require any special prep materials?
The Executive Assessment Online has the same test content and structure as the Executive Assessment that is delivered in test centers. If candidates have been preparing to take the Executive Assessment in person, they can feel confident in continuing online practice with the Executive Assessment Official Practice materials, as that preparation is entirely relevant to the online, proctored experience.
What accommodations are offered for test takers with disabilities?
While every accommodation we currently provide within our testing centers may not be feasible within an online format, GMAC is committed to providing equal access to our assessments to the extent possible. Accommodations available include 50% and 100% extended testing time.

Will the online assessment be offered on both Windows and Mac computers?
The Executive Assessment Online can be taken on personal computers with mac or Windows operating systems, specific system requirements can be found on the System Requirements Page.
When will schools receive scores and how will they access them?
Score reports will be available within 7 business days of assessment completion and will be available through the Executive Assessment Score Reporting site.
What security protocols are in place to ensure fairness and prevent cheating?
Human proctors, supported by state-of the-art technology, ensure the security and integrity of the assessment, and fairness to all test takers.
All test takers will be authenticated via their digital photograph, an approved form of valid ID and live check-in via a human proctor before starting the assessment. The workspace is also thoroughly reviewed and monitored before and during the assessment. The assessment is being monitored at all times, via the live video feed, by human proctors, supported by AI technology.
Is this a stopgap measure or will it become the standard assessment?
The Executive Assessment Online is an interim solution to meet the immediate needs of test takers and schools impacted by the closure of test centers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These are uncertain times, and we are learning together along the way. We will constantly evaluate this delivery model and the value it continues to provide to our schools and test takers.
Our focus is on maintaining a valid and rigorous assessment schools and test takers can trust, with the relevant security practices and protocols in place, to fairly evaluate a test taker’s ability to succeed in a graduate business program.
Will vouchers and fee waivers be available for the Executive Assessment Online?
Vouchers purchased for the test center EA will not be applicable to the Executive Assessment Online.
Fee waivers are not currently available for the Executive Assessment Online.
