GME Admissions Reporting Standards

GME Admissions Reporting Standards

The purpose of the Graduate Management Education (GME) Admissions Reporting Standards is to aid in creating trust, educating junior colleagues or those new to GME admissions, and standardizing reporting so candidates can accurately compare programs.

Responding to requests for renewed leadership in setting industry standards, GMAC convened a new Task Force in January 2019 to develop updated GME Admissions Reporting Standards. A draft was released in June 2019 at the GMAC Annual Conference, and during the fall of 2019 and early 2020, feedback was gathered from schools through webinars, meetings, surveys, and one-on-one discussions. The Standards were revised based on this input, adopted, and published in July 2020. A recommendation of the 2019 GME Admissions Reporting Standards Task Force was that the Standards released in 2020 be reviewed every two years to ensure they remain relevant to changes in the industry. As the steward of the Standards, GMAC has followed this recommendation, convening new Task Forces in 2022 and 2025 to review and release updated standards.
