If you agreed to participate in the Graduate Management Admission Council® (GMAC®) Annual Conference Evaluation, you may be eligible to win the prizes described below. In order to be eligible to win the prize or participate in the Drawings, you must have attended the 2013 GMAC Annual Conference and you must complete the evaluation during the Term specified. If you did not agree to take such evaluation or otherwise received the email invitation in error, you are ineligible to receive the prize or participate in the Drawings.
1. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to enter the GMAC Annual Conference Evaluation Drawings (hereinafter, “Drawings”), you must (i) have attended the 2013 GMAC Annual Conference; (ii) complete the 2013 GMAC Annual Conference Evaluation (“Evaluation”) during the Term, and (iii) be above the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which you reside at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the Graduate Management Admission Council, and their immediate families and those living in their households, are not eligible to participate in the Drawings. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
2. TERM
The Drawings will begin at 12:01 am eastern standard time (EST) on June 24, 2013, and end at 11:59 pm EST on July 12, 2013 (“Term”).
3. SPONSOR
Graduate Management Admission Council®, 11921 Freedom Drive, Reston VA 20190 USA, is the sponsor of the Drawings (“Sponsor” or “GMAC”).
4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Prior to and during the Term, potential entrants will receive an email from the Sponsor with a link to the Evaluation. To enter the Drawings, click on the link and provide your email address and complete the evaluation questions during the Term. Eligible participants will receive one (1) entry to the Drawings when they complete the Evaluation during the Term.
You must complete the Evaluation during the Term to be eligible to receive the prizes described below.
LIMIT: ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON AND EMAIL ADDRESS. Subsequent entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Sponsor. They will not be returned or acknowledged. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, or illegible entries, or for any computer-related, online, telephonic, or technical malfunctions that may occur. Entries are void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, altered, counterfeit, produced in error, forged, mechanically reproduced or obtained through fraud or theft. By entering you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. If you are entering on behalf of your employer, these rules are binding on you, individually, and your company.
In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A selected entrant may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he or she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry.
As part of this process, Sponsor may collect certain personal information from each participant, including his or her name, address, email address, and date of birth. Any use of participant’s personal data will comply with the terms of Sponsor’s privacy policy located at the gmac.com privacy center.
5. WINNER SELECTION
The Sponsor will select three (3) potential winners in three (3) weekly drawings during the Term. Specifically, each week during the Term a prize will be awarded to the individual whose name is drawn from the pool of participants available during that week.
Week One Drawing: The Week One drawing will include those participants who submit their Evaluations between 12:01 am EST on June 24, 2013, and 11:59 pm EST on June 29, 2013. The Week One drawing will occur on July 2, 2013. If an eligible participant is not selected during Week One, he or she will be automatically entered into the Week Two drawing and, if his or her name is not selected during the Week Two drawing, he or she will be automatically entered into the Week Three drawing.
Week Two Drawing: The Week Two drawing will include those participants who submit their Evaluations between 12:01 am EST on June 24, 2013, and 11:59 pm EST on July 6, 2013. In addition, the Week Two drawing will include those eligible for the Week One drawing with the exception of the Week One drawing potential winner. The Week Two drawing will occur on July 9, 2013. If an eligible participant is not selected during Week Two, he or she will be automatically entered into the Week Three drawing.
Week Three Drawing: The Week Three drawing will include those participants who submit their Evaluations between 12:01 am EST on June 24, 2013, and 11:59 pm EST on July 12, 2013. In addition, the Week Three drawing will include those eligible for the Week One drawing except for the Week One drawing potential winner and those eligible for the Week Two drawing except for the Week Two potential winner. The Week Three drawing will occur on July 16, 2013. The Week Three drawing is the final drawing.
An individual’s odds of winning a prize are increased by the earlier Evaluation submission as they enter the Drawings.
Participants may only win one (1) prize during one (1) drawing.
6. PRIZES
Sponsor will be awarding the following Prizes:
WEEK ONE: One (1) potential prize winner will be selected by random drawing to receive a US$100 gift card chosen from one of the following three retailers: American Express, Amazon.com, or the Apple Store. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Prize: US$100.00.
WEEK TWO: One (1) potential prize winner will be selected by random drawing to receive a US$100 gift card chosen from one of the following three retailers: American Express, Amazon.com, or the Apple Store. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Prize: US$100.00.
WEEK THREE: One (1) potential prize winner will be selected by random drawing to receive a US$100 gift card from one of the following three retailers: American Express, Amazon.com, or the Apple Store. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the Prize: US$100.00.
Total ARV: US$300.00.
The prizes shall be accepted on an “as is” basis and for which Sponsor makes no warranties or representations nor accepts any responsibility. All decisions on all matters pertaining to the Drawings are final. Winner is responsible for any and all taxes, delivery fees, and/or costs related to the processing, maintenance, set-up, use, or receipt of the prize by the winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Limit one prize per person, family, or household. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Individual odds of winning a prize are increased the earlier one enters the Drawings.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION
Random selection of the potential winner will occur on or about the end of each week as follows: Week One: July 2, 2013; Week Two: July 9, 2013; Week Three: July 16, 2013 from among all eligible entries received during the respective week. Prize drawings will be conducted at Sponsor’s office in Reston, Virginia. The potential winners will be notified by email on or about the following day of each respective drawing. Potential winners will have fourteen (14) days from notification to claim his or her prize. Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, agents, officers and directors, advertising and Drawing agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and their respective agents will not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner. The prize will be delivered by first class mail. No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by winner permitted. Sponsor may substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value. All federal, state, and local taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. If any potential winners fails to respond to the prize notification within 14 days, declines the prize, fails to claim the prize, is unavailable for prize fulfillment, fails to abide by the Official Rules, or is ineligible, Sponsor may select an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries. If any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, that prize is forfeited and Sponsor may select an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Drawings.
- By participating, entrants and winners release Sponsor, its affiliates, parent, and subsidiary companies, its employees, agents and officers, advertising and promotion agencies, as well as all others associated with the development and execution of the Drawings, from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the Drawings and the awarding and use of the prizes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to Drawing entries or entry forms; or alteration of entries or entry forms.
- Participants also agree (a) to be bound by these Official Rules; and (b) that the decisions of Sponsor are final on all matters relating to the Drawings. If you are acting within the scope of your employment, as an employee, contractor, or agent of another party, you warrant that such party has full knowledge of your actions and has consented thereto. You further warrant that your actions do not violate your employer’s or company’s policies and procedures.
9. LAWS
The Drawings are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to the conflicts of law provisions.
10. WINNERS LIST
To obtain the names of the winners, send a request, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope, to Legal Department, Graduate Management Admission Council, 11921 Freedom Drive, Suite 300, Reston VA 20190 USA. (Residents of Vermont need not supply postage.) You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement prior to receiving the winners list to protect the privacy of the winners.
