Business schools across the world offer master’s programs in areas such as management, finance, accounting, and business analytics. Yet some locations are more renowned for the strength and reputation of specific specialized master's degrees than other.
Here are the best countries for your business master’s degree, based on the number of world-renowned programs at their business schools.
Best countries for Master in Management (MiM) degrees
France is the best country in the world to pursue a MiM, according to the 2025 Financial Times Masters in Management ranking. Among the 10 best MiM programs worldwide, four are based in the European country.
China is the second best destination for a MiM, boasting three programs in the ranking’s top 10. The UK, Portugal, Switzerland, and Sweden each have one program in the same list.
According to the FT 2025 ranking, the University of St Gallen is home to the best MiM program in the world once again—it has topped the list 14 years in a row. French school HEC Paris offers the second-best MiM program, with INSEAD (France), Nova School of Business and Economics (Portugal), and Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (China) rounding off the top five.
The other business schools making the top 10 in the FT ranking are Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), ESCP Business School (France), Tongji University School of Economics and Management (China), Stockholm School of Economics (Sweden), London Business School (UK), and Essec Business School (France).
France also leads the way in the overall ranking, with a total of 25 schools in the top 100.

Best countries for Master in Finance degrees
France is also the best country in the world to pursue a Master in Finance, with four programs in the top 10 of the 2025 Financial Times Master in Finance ranking. China is home to three, with Portugal, Switzerland, and the UK having one each.
Four of the top five Master in Finance programs are also based in France. ESCP Business School topped the list, with Skema, Essec, and HEC Paris also ranking highly. The program at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in China is the only non-French program in the top five. Elsewhere, London Business School has the top-ranked UK Master in Finance program, Esade is number one in Spain, while SDA Bocconi is the top Italian school. Vlerick Business School in Belgium and the International University of Monaco also features in the top 20.

Best countries for Master in Business Analytics degrees
The US tops the charts as the best country for a Master in Business Analytics (MSBA), according to the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2026: Business Analytics. Five of the top 10 MSBA programs are offered by US business schools.
The programs offered by MIT Sloan and UCLA Anderson are ranked joint first, with Columbia (5th), Duke Fuqua (7th) and Cornell Johnson (10th) the other US representation in the top 10.
France is the second-best country for a MSBA, with three of the top 10 programs. HEC Paris offers the second highest-ranked MSBA program globally.
The other programs to feature in the top 10 were both based in the UK: at London Business School (6th) and Imperial Business School (8th).
Further down the list, programs from IE Business School (Spain), NUS Business School (Singapore), Toronto Rotman (Canada), Melbourne Business School (Australia), and Rotterdam Erasmus (Netherlands) all appeared in the top 20 of the ranking.

Of course, rankings aren't a wholly reliable measure of how good a fit a business school and its business master’s degree is for you. Other factors might include the culture, cost and your future plans.
