This provides a good reference for MBA grads when choosing the right place for their next move.

Here's a breakdown of the key takeaways from the 2025 Glassdoor list, including which companies it reveals as the best places to work for MBA graduates. 

What are Glassdoor's 20 best places to work in 2025?

In this year's ranking, several big name companies once again ranked highly in the list but it was consulting firm Bain & Company, a top MBA recruiter, that came in first place. It's the second year in a row the consultancy has led the ranking.

Other key MBA employers Nvidia and Microsoft ranked in fourth and sixth, respectively. A variety of players from sectors such as real estate, retail and hospitality also continued to perform strongly among the best places to work.

Tech firms continue to rank highly as best companies to work for

NVIDIA, a tech leader known for graphics cards that are used in everything from computers to electric cars—and a dominant player in the flourishing artificial intelligence sector—dropped from second to fourth in this year's Glassdoor ranking. Still, its employees continued to praise its “awesome company culture and values”, “innovative outlook”, and “healthy work environment and dedicated people”. 

Speciality insurance and surety bond company RLI entered the top 10 in 2025, with respondents praising its approachable senior management and good onboarding and training.

Other companies that ranked among the 10 best companies to work for included eXp Realty, North America’s largest residential real estate brokerage (seventh); multinational pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company (fifth); and mathematical computing software provider MathWorks (10th).

Glassdoor’s 2025 index shows another strong year for tech companies—typically popular for their strong compensation packages and positive workplace cultures—despite the market for tech roles being more challenging in recent years. 

A common role for MBA graduates within tech companies is product management, which involves driving the development of innovative products and employing a diverse skill set that pairs well with the business acumen an MBA provides. Product management ranks among the highest-paying employment areas in tech. 

Tech remains one of the most popular careers for MBA graduates, alongside consulting and finance. For MBA grads interested in the tech industry, there are a host of companies listed in Glassdoor’s best places to work that actively recruit from business schools.

Bain tops the list as the best consulting firm to work for

The appearance of two consulting firms in the top 20—Bain and Booz Allen Hamilton (14th)—is good news for MBAs. Consulting has historically been one of the most popular industries for students to land jobs. A large proportion of those going into consultancy aim for the Big Three firms—McKinsey & Company, Bain & Company, and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The companies’ strong reputations and consistently high salaries—they each pay MBA grads around $190k on average—make them a top draw for MBA candidates.

For top-ranked business schools such as INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and Stanford Graduate School of Business, getting hired by the big consulting firms is a large part of their draw.

Ranking first in the Glassdoor list, and therefore the best of the big three consulting firms to work for in 2025, was Bain. One employee said of the firm: “Great people, phenomenal benefits, interesting work, and healthy work/life balance.”

Other top performers from the 2025 Glassdoor ranking

While many of the companies listed in Glassdoor’s 20 best companies to work for were part of the technology industry, there were several other cross-industry companies that featured in the list. 

One religious organization made the top 10: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (eighth), while Houston Methodist, “the leading hospital in Houston for delivering superior patient care,” ranked 18th. 

Elsewhere fast food chain In-N-Out Burger appeared within the Glassdoor list, as did semi-conductor giant ASML and construction supplier Hilti.
