In the latest edition of the BusinessBecause Alumni Stories video series, we sat down with two Bocconi University graduates who have swapped their lives in Italy for thriving careers in New York City.

Francesco Brachetti is the co-founder of AVO—a 'fast-casual' restaurant chain in NYC—and Annalisa Rotunno is an M&A managing director at Mediobanca. 

Find out how masters degrees from Bocconi University have catapulted Francesco and Annalisa to global success in the Big Apple, and the key skills they’ve gained along the way. 

Francesco studied Accounting and Finance at Bocconi, while Annalisa graduated from the Master in Finance.

"I wanted to be able to travel, work, and live abroad—it [Bocconi] was my first choice right away," says Francesco.

"The alumni community of Bocconi has been a great resource," says Annalisa.
