You've likely heard of implicit or unconscious bias, but how does bias impact your admissions process? Discuss with peers the ways your program identifies and addresses bias at each part of the admissions funnel. Hear how others are incorporating bias-mitigating techniques, and how to make the most of implicit bias training sessions.
Natasha Gore is an MBA Prep Coach at Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) and has 20+ years of experience in higher education and nonprofit management. In her most recent prior role, she led diversity admissions at Duke's Fuqua School of Business. Her past higher education roles include managing diversity admissions at Wake Forest University School of Business and serving for five years as Adjunct Faculty at Salem College teaching courses in nonprofit and volunteer management. In addition to time spent in higher education, Natasha has served as executive director of a small social-capital organization in Winston Salem, as well as roles held in marketing/outreach within early childhood education and grantmaking at a community foundation.

The GMAC Admissions Institute is an intensive, skills-based program focusing on the core knowledge needed to excel in graduate management admissions. Designed specially for those with six months to two years of experience, the Admissions Institute helps newly hired admissions, marketing, and recruitment professionals develop the skills necessary to succeed in their careers. The AINP program will provide you with a deep dive into three foundational modules: Context, Outreach, and Evaluation & Yield.
