Can I take the Executive Assessment Online if test centers in my region are open?

The Executive Assessment Online is open to all test takers. 

If test centers in your location are open and you feel safe accessing a test center facility, you are encouraged to do so. 
Please note that we are closely following local government directives to ensure the health and safety of our test takers and test center staff. All our test centers that are currently open have enhanced safety, social distancing, and hygiene practices in place. 

 

How do I prepare for the assessment? Does it require any special prep materials?

The Executive Assessment Online has the same test content and structure as the Executive Assessment that is delivered in test centers. If you have been preparing to take the Executive Assessment in person, you can feel confident in continuing your online practice with the Executive Assessment Official Practice materials, as that preparation is entirely relevant to the online, proctored experience.

How do I register for the Executive Assessment Online?

Registering for the Executive Assessment Online is just as easy as registering for an appointment in a test center.

  1. Create an Account. Start by creating an Executive Assessment account and provide some necessary personal information
  2. Select Programs. Once your account is created, select programs to send your assessment results or make your selections at a later point in time.
  3. Select how you want to test- you can elect to test Online (at home) or in a Test Center.
  4. Schedule your assessment. Schedule an appointment by selecting the date and time.
  5. Pay for your assessment. Once you have scheduled your appointment, you then pay for your assessment.
 

How long is the Executive Assessment Online?

The timing for the Executive Assessment Online is the same: 90 minutes total. We recommend setting aside 15 minutes for the check-in process.

 

What is the Executive Assessment Online

The Executive Assessment Online exam is an online and remote proctored interim solution developed to support test takers and schools during the disruption to test center-based delivery due to COVID-19 related closures.

What is the structure of the Executive Assessment Online?

The Executive Assessment Online has the same structure as the Executive Assessment delivered in test centers. There are three sections: Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reason. To enable comparability, the Executive Assessment will have the same type and number of items and section times as the assessment administered in test centers. It will also use the same scoring algorithm and score scale for the Section Scores and Total Score as the test center-based version. 

 

What locations can I take the Executive Assessment Online in?

The Executive Assessment Online is available in most locations except for Mainland China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and South Sudan due to regulatory and local data privacy rules.

Please note that proctoring and support for the Executive Assessment Online is only offered in English. There will be no local language support available. 

 

When can I book an appointment for the Executive Assessment Online?

Appointments are available around the clock and testing dates will be made available on a rolling basis.

Who can take the Executive Assessment?

While the Executive Assessment Online is open to all test takers, the online format is intended to help those who are working to meet upcoming program deadlines complete their applications. 
The Executive Assessment Online is available in most locations except for Mainland China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and South Sudan due to regulatory and local data privacy rules.

Please note that proctoring and support for the EA Online is only offered in English. There will be no local language support available.

 

Are there breaks allowed?

There are no breaks during your 90 minute, Executive Assessment Online appointment.

Can I reschedule my Online Appointment?

The Executive Assessment Online has a similar reschedule policy to the Executive Assessment administered in test centers. You can reschedule your appointment for free up to your appointment time. If you need to reschedule, you may do so, online by accessing the My Appointments page.

If I don't select any programs before my appointment, can I do so afterward?

You can select programs to receive your results after your appointment is scored for as long as the score is valid.

If I have scheduled my Executive Assessment appointment at a test center, can I transfer that registration to an Executive Assessment Online appointment?

Currently, you cannot transfer your test center appointment to an Executive Assessment Online appointment. You will need to cancel your test center appointment and book a new appointment for the Executive Assessment Online

 

How do I add and remove programs for score sending for my Online Appointment?

Reporting the results of your Executive Assessment Online appointment have not changed. You can select programs when you create your account, or by going to the My Schools page in your dashboard. Selection of programs can be made before your appointment or after your appointment has been scored. 

 

How do I request accommodations for the Executive Assessment Online?

How far in advance do I need to register for my assessment?

You can register for an Executive Assessment Online appointment up to 24 hours before an available testing window. Appointment dates are available on a rolling basis.

 

When can I schedule my second online appointment?

You can schedule your second online attempt before or after you complete your first online attempt. The second attempt must be scheduled to start at least 24 hours after your first appointment is completed.

 

How long will it take for my selected program(s) to receive my score?

Scores will be sent to the programs you select within seven business days of completing your assessment or whenever you add additional programs to a past result.

How often can I take the Executive Assessment Online?

The Executive Assessment Online can be taken up to two times.  These two attempts are independent of any attempts completed in a Test Center, as well as any additional attempts required as a result of a verified technical issue.

Is the assessment recorded?

The assessment session is recorded, including check-in. Recording will continue until completion of the assessment.

What are the requirements for the physical whiteboard?

Starting June 11, 2020, you will be allowed the option to use 1 erasable whiteboard that is no larger than 12 inches x 20 inches (30 cm x 50 cm), 1 dry erase marker, and 1 eraser during your exam session. 

The following items are not allowed:
Paper 
Pen / Pencil
Permanent Marker
Tissues, Paper Towels, Napkins
Whiteboard cleaning spray
Paper in a clear slide
Boogie Boards
Chalkboards
Writing Tablets

What are the rules and policies for using a physical whiteboard?

During check-in, the proctor may scan your workstation and work area / environment. If your physical whiteboard is too large your proctor will ask you to remove it from the work area.

During your assessment, you will be asked to completely erase your whiteboard and show the front and back of your blank whiteboard to the camera at three points:
Before the assessment begins
Before the assessment ends

Follow the instructions on the screen to show your blank whiteboard to the camera. Note that there will be no acknowledgement from the proctor, but the showing of your blank whiteboard to the camera will be recorded on video and will be reviewed by test security administrators if needed. 

Failure to present your blank whiteboard to the camera before ending your assessment could result in your session being terminated and/or your results being cancelled.

Can I still use the online whiteboard?

Yes, the online whiteboard feature will still be available – you have the option and the flexibility to use either the online whiteboard, or a physical whiteboard, or both, while taking your assessment.  

Where can I get a physical erasable whiteboard?

You can purchase a physical erasable whiteboard that meets the required specifications , an erasable marker, and an eraser from any online or in-person retailers accessible to you. Please be mindful of shipping times during this situation. Remember that you can always reschedule your appointment at no cost.

What security protocols are in place to ensure fairness and prevent cheating?

Human proctors, supported by state-of-the-art technology, ensure the security and integrity of the exam, and fairness to all test takers.

All test takers will be authenticated via their digital photograph, an approved valid form of identification, and live check-in via a human proctor before starting the assessment. The workspace is also thoroughly reviewed and monitored before and during the assessment. The assessment is being monitored at all times, via the live video feed, by human proctors, supported by AI technology.

What are the technical/system requirements?

You can test at home or in your office. Wherever you test, you should be in a walled room, with a closed door, and without distractions. No one else is permitted in the room with you while you are testing. Please review the workspace requirements listed here.

What if I have a question during my appointment?

If you have a question or an issue during the assessment, please click on the chat link within the OnVUE application or wave your hand to speak to the proctor.

What happens if there is a technical issue before or during my appointment?

If you encounter a technical issue that prevents you from starting your exam, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be able to register for and take the exam at another time.

If there is a technical issue after you have started the exam, you can bring it to the attention of the proctor by raising your hand or starting a chat session from the exam window. The proctor will attempt to assist you promptly. If your technical issue cannot be resolved, or you are unable to proceed with your exam, your session will be ended. In this situation, you may be allowed to register and take the exam again at no additional cost.

In either case above, you will be provided a case number within 72 hours via email. Your case will go under review, if approved we will contact you with details of your exam cancellation/refund and approval to register for another exam. Case reviews generally take 3 to 5 business days but may take longer on occasion and depending on the nature of the issue.

Please note that we reserve the right to verify and approve all requests for retakes resulting from a technical issue.

If I don't select any programs before my appointment, can I do so afterward?

Scores will be available in your account within seven days of completing your appointment. Once scored, you can view your results at any time through the My Results page on your dashboard. 

Will I be able to preview my score?

You will not be able to preview your score at the end of your assessment. Scores will be available in your account within seven (7) business days of completing your appointment. Once scored, you can view your results at any time through the My Results page on your dashboard

Who will have access to my online proctored assessment session?

Your online proctored exam is delivered through Pearson VUE's platform, OnVUE, and access will be limited to the operational personnel involved in test administration and security. The platform adheres to local privacy and data laws in 190 global locations. Your exam session will be monitored by a Pearson VUE proctor, and your session will be recorded, both audio and video, for review by test security specialists. Also, your check-in details, including the photo collected of you and your test location, as well as your provided identification, may be stored according to relevant privacy and data laws. 

Will results from my previous Executive Assessment appointments be included in score reports?

Only the results from your Executive Assessment Online appointment will be included in the score report that you receive as well as the programs you designated to receive your score. 

Will disability accommodations be provided for the Executive Assessment Online?

Yes. While every accommodation we currently provide within our testing centers may not be feasible within an online format, GMAC™ is committed to providing equal access to our assessments to the extent possible. Accommodations available include 50% and 100% extended testing time.
