GMASS Policy and Price Updates

The Graduate Management Admission Search Service (GMASS) tool helps schools recruit the right mix of talent for their graduate business programs. As the largest global source of qualified candidates, GMASS is also the only source for candidates worldwide who are interested specifically in graduate business programs. GMASS candidates are highly motivated to connect with your business programs and can provide you with access to more than 500,000 active candidates that have identified themselves as wanting to be contacted by schools about graduate management education opportunities.

What is changing?
The following GMASS policy and price changes take effect on July 1, 2019:

  • We are removing the US$0.50 cost to receive updated profiles. Schools can now access the most up-to-date information for previously purchased leads for no extra cost (previously US$0.50 per lead). Schools still have the flexibility to include or not include “purchased names with updated profiles” in their searches. The only difference is that including these names is now free.
  • A new price structure will take effect. GMASS leads will now be priced at US$1.00 per lead, up from US$0.90.
  • We are updating our GMASS policy to clarify which schools can access leads. To qualify for a GMASS account, schools must now receive at least 10 GMAT score reports over the past 12 months or as an annual average over the past 36 months (whichever is greater). This threshold is for a school as a whole; multiple programs may be represented.
Current GMASS school subscribers that do not meet the updated policy requirements will lose access to GMASS leads as of July 1, 2019. However, given the flexibility of the policy, deactivated schools that begin meeting policy requirements can reactivate their subscription at the start of the following quarter. Schools interested in subscribing to GMASS for the first time will also be required to meet the policy requirements to qualify for a GMASS account.

Why the policy change?
GMASS is a resource designed to serve schools that use GMAC assessments to evaluate candidates for their business programs. By putting more explicit parameters around what it means for an academic institution to “use GMAC assessments,” we hope to provide a more clear-cut policy that preserves the quality of connection between schools and candidates.

Why the pricing changes?
By implementing a modest price increase of US$0.10 per new lead, we can continue to improve the GMASS experience and ensure it remains the largest global source of qualified GME candidates for schools.

We’ve demonstrated this commitment through amped up candidate recruitment efforts and a variety of GMASS enhancements, including:

  • Adding a GMAT exam date
  • Including employer data
  • More targeted search criteria for GMAT score ranges

There are more than 2,000 unique combinations of search parameters in more than 30 categories, enabling you to target your audience with precision to meet your recruiting needs. You can use GMASS to connect with prospects at specific time periods, increase the diversity of your applicants, recruit candidates earlier in their decision-making process and create cost-effective, multichannel targeted marketing campaigns.
