December 01, 2009 GMAC Research Report: RR-09-12 PDF 313k 10 pages Download Overview Although the validity of Graduate Management Admission Test™ (GMAT™) scores for predicting performance in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs is well established, less information is known about the validity of scores for other graduate business programs, such as Master of Accountancy (MAcc) programs or Master of Science (MS) programs with various business concentrations. Differences in the backgrounds of entering student populations and differences in the requirements within the programs indicate that the predictive validity of admission factors for MBA programs may not generalize to other types of graduate business programs. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of predictive validity from admission factors used for non-MBA graduate business programs and to compare the results against what is known for MBA programs.
