Each year, GMAC® conducts this survey of business school professions to track changes in application volume and applicant pool composition, including details regarding domestic, international, female, and U.S. minority applicant subgroups.
GMAC collects preliminary data in February and final data in June. A total of 445 programs from 252 schools participated in the 2007 survey.
Latest Survey Report
According to the 2007 Survey Report, which provides context and a holistic view of major survey results—
- All participating program types, except PhD programs, report strong application volume for their 2007-2008 class.
- Interest in part-time graduate management programs is growing.
- Foreign applicants substantially contributed to both the increase in application volume for flexible MBA and EMBA programs and the decrease in application volume for PhD programs in 2007.
- A greater number of graduate management programs, especially part-time programs, are reporting an increase in female application volume.
Participating schools also receive a comprehensive data report of overall findings and individualized benchmarking reports that compare their program responses with aggregate responses from their peer programs.
