Update on Coronavirus Impacts on GMAC Events GMAT Online Exam Executive Assessment Online

The health and safety of candidates and our staff are of the utmost importance to GMAC, and we are actively working with testing centers to respond to this very difficult situation. As a part of the global effort to contain the spread and mitigate impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), GMAT and  Executive Assessment testing has been suspended in many locations worldwide. For testing centers that remain open, enhanced health and safety measures are in place including enhanced cleaning procedures, hand sanitizer and wipes provided for candidates.

As the situation develops, below you will find the most up-to-date information on testing center closures, enhanced testing center procedures, and health and safety guidance.

Please contact your GMAC Customer Care team or Market Development Manager if you have any questions or concerns.

Answers to Common Questions

How do I reschedule my GMAT  appointment?

Effective immediately to assist you during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have temporarily waived all GMAT exam reschedule fees. No matter your test center location, you can reschedule to another date and/or location (pending travel restrictions) at no charge to you.

5 Steps to reschedule your GMAT appointment:

  1. Log into to your mba.com account, find your GMAT exam appointment date and select the Reschedule option under Future GMAT Exams in the Status column.
  2. On the main Reschedule Your GMAT Exam page, select your new date and time
  3. Confirm your new date and time on the page -  Confirm New Exam Appointment Details
  4. Your next page will read Pay for Your RescheduleNOTE: NO PAYMENT IS REQUIRED
Scroll to the bottom right corner and click the yellow button “Complete Reschedule.”
  5. Your reschedule is now complete.  You will receive a confirmation email for your records.

My exam was scheduled at a test center that has been closed due to coronavirus, what should I do?

As of April 6, all GMAT and Executive Assessment exams scheduled at a test center closed as a result of coronavirus precautions will be rescheduled to a placeholder temporary test center location and time. This will allow you the flexibility to then move your appointment to a date and location that works best for you. To select a new appointment date and location please visit your mba.com profile and reschedule your appointment. If you choose to cancel your appointment you can do so within your mba.com profile as well. All reschedule and cancellation fees will be waived.

Test center-based appointment dates are available through the end of the year. The placeholder appointment date is intended to provide you the time needed to take the next steps with your appointment.

Please note:

  • An action is required from you to either reschedule or cancel your appointment via your mba.com profile.
  • This only applies to test-center based appointments
  • Excludes appointments based in mainland China

All impacted test takers will be notified via email about their test appointment status from our testing partner PearsonVUE.

Test takers can contact our regional Customer Service center for additional assistance with managing their appointment; all call center fees will be waived for affected test takers.

I cancelled my GMAT exam score with the intent to retest again. With many test centers now closed, can I reinstate my canceled score without a fee?

Yes. As of March 25, 2020, we have temporarily waived GMAT™ exam score reinstatement fees. We recognize scheduling a GMAT™ appointment is challenging during this time and can potentially delay your ability to finalize your school application(s). To help you continue with your b-school goals, you can reinstate your cancelled GMAT exam score at no cost to you.

To reinstate your GMAT exam score:

  • Log in to your mba.com account - Select the "Reinstate Score" link located next to your most recently canceled score. You will not be charged a fee.
  • Your reinstated score will become active within 5-7 days (with a few exceptions). Your score will be automatically sent to programs you selected in the test center prior to your score cancellation.

Please note: Reinstated scores cannot be cancelled after activation.

When should I expect to receive my refund for my cancelled appointment?

If your appointment has been cancelled and you paid for your appointment using a credit card your exam fees will be automatically refunded. The refund will be processed within 3-5 days of receiving the cancellation confirmation email.

For test takers in China who paid via NEEA: If you paid using a bank transfer through NEEA, once you receive your cancellation confirmation email, please follow the instructions on requesting a refund from NEEA (#9). Please allow 4-6 weeks for refund processing through NEEA.

Can I schedule a new exam appointment or reschedule my exam appointment?

If your appointment has been cancelled, it will not automatically be rescheduled. You will need to schedule a new test-taking appointment. We are working closely with our testing partners to expand testing availability.

Please keep in mind that other cities and countries may be placing travel restrictions on those in affected areas. We recommend you check for any travel restrictions before scheduling a new appointment in a different city or country.
