GMAC Board Chair Named to Laureate Education Board

Laureate Education, the Baltimore-based owner and operator of for-profit colleges, elected Kenneth Freeman, to its board. He currently serves as chair of the GMAC board.

Kenneth FreemanFreeman is the Allen Questrom professor and dean of Boston University Questrom School of Business. In addition to being chair of the GMAC board and now a member of the Laureate Education board of directors, he is chairman of the board of trustees at Bucknell University, his undergraduate alma mater. He has previously served on a number of other boards, including Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (chairman and CEO), Lake Region Medical (chairman), Masonite (chairman), TRW (lead director), HCA, Dow Corning Corporation, Fleet Bank of New York, and the Corning Incorporated Foundation.

Freeman received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School in 1976 and a BSBA, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Bucknell University in 1972.
