GMAC Appoints Betty Su to Lead Marketing & Communications
GMAC welcomes new vice president and chief marketing officer.
Betty Su has joined GMAC as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Betty comes to GMAC from the US Postal Service, where she served as executive director, Brand Marketing, leading a newly established team overseeing brand turnaround strategy, as well as market research and demand generation efforts. She was responsible for strengthening the performance of the organization’s digital properties and marketing platforms, driving retail growth, and creating new revenue generating marketing platforms. Prior to the US Postal Service, Betty held leadership positions at Kraft Foods Group with a focus on youth brands and marketing.
Along the way, Betty has developed a deep and dynamic understanding of today’s consumers, especially the younger, connected undergraduate and the young or mid-career professionals who are so important to GMAC and to our member schools. Throughout her career, Betty has focused on areas of the business cycle and strategic planning that are essential to our continued success. She has been a leader in brand building, communications planning, and execution, researching and leveraging consumer insights and delivering business results.
Betty is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. She received an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
