Measuring Your Early Application Trends?

Get an exclusive look at early applications: Participate today!

Each February, GMAC conducts this private survey of global business school admission professionals, inviting them to share early feedback on applicant volumes for their portfolio of MBA or specialized master’s in business programs.

Not the Whole Enchilada, Rather a Companion Survey

This is NOT the massive Application Trends Survey that GMAC conducts each June. The Preliminary Application Trends Survey was designed to be a companion study conducted at the start of each calendar year for an early indication of data on applications to classes starting late summer - but also for end-of-cycle results for programs starting in January. There is no public report, results from this survey are distributed only to participants. Last year, 338 schools participated in this survey and collectively received early volumes data for 710 programs.

  • Easy Participation: Answer just a handful of questions about your program application volume and receive a comprehensive data report approximately two weeks after data collection closes. The report includes distributions of survey responses by program type, world region, US region, program competitiveness, and other characteristics.

  • Unique Information: Participants also have the unique opportunity to create customized benchmark reports, a FREE online service that allows survey participants to compare their programs' responses against those of their peers. GMAC sent school specific survey links to graduate management education programs for the 2015 Preliminary Application Trends Survey, available from February 4—February 25. If you did not see the survey invitation, please check your Junk Mail or Spam folders first to confirm you received the link (reminder: add GMAC to your safe sender list!), or visit this link to participate in the survey. View the survey worksheet to help speed up your experience. Benchmark reports will be available to schools in early March.

  • Private, Timely Results: Survey results are shared only among respondents and are not available to the general public, researchers, the media, or nonparticipating schools.
