Wondering What's the Future of Business Education

The Boston University School of Management, in collaboration with IBM and premier sponsors, including GMAC, will launch the Business Education Jam: Envisioning the Future. The event will take place September 30-October 2, 2014
This entirely online event will bring together a global audience to spark dialogue, share ideas, and explore the future of business education. “Every once in a while, an opportunity or a forum presents itself as a means of bringing new urgency to an ongoing dialog,” said Sangeet Chowfla, president and CEO of GMAC. “We think the Business Education Jam can be such an event and we’re happy to both sponsor and participate in it.”
In 2013, GMAC published, Disrupt or Be Disrupted: A Blueprint for Change. The book was an exploration of evidence-based approaches to improving the practice of management education. The Business Education Jam is another opportunity for GMAC to contribute to connecting all parts of the business education community in ways that have the potential to spark, not just conversation, but also action and innovation.
With discussion opportunities for everyone from students to policy makers to business leaders, educators and recruitment professionals, the Business Education Jam will unfold online over 60-hours. The event will challenge long-held beliefs and practices, while soliciting audience ideas for expanding the effort to bring better business education opportunities to more people in more places centered on more of the topics that matter in today’s education and business marketplace.
