From the Fundraising Desk Ronald O. Perelman has pledged US$100 million to Columbia Business School. The donation will support construction for the school, including a building that will be named the Ronald O. Perelman Center for Business Innovation. The Blavatnik Family Foundation has donated US$50 million to Harvard University to help expedite development of scientific discoveries into therapies for patients and cures for disease. Part of the gift will create a fellowship program in life science entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School. A US$5 million gift to the University of Iowa Foundation from Henry B. Tippie, namesake of the UI Henry B. Tippie College of Business, includes US$3 million in support for the school as well as funds for university athletics. The Ivey Business School at Western University received C$2 million gift from BMO Financial Group in support of the school’s new building. Jake Jabs has pledged US$10 million to support the entrepreneurship program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School. Following a US$5 million gift from the family of James F. DeVoe, Indiana Wesleyan University will create the DeVoe School of Business.
