Russell Barton has been named senior associate dean for research and faculty at the Penn State Smeal College of Business. Most recently a professor of supply chain and information systems and associate director of its center for the management of technological and organizational change, Barton holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University and MS and PhD degrees in operations research from Cornell University.

Jeffrey H. Bergstrand has been named associate dean of graduate studies at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, effective in July. A finance professor at Mendoza for more than 26 years, Bergstrand earned his BA at Northwestern University and his MA and PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Bruno Busacca has been named dean of SDA Bocconi, the school of management of Università Bocconi in Milan. A professor of marketing at the school, Busacca completed a degree in business administration at the university and completed studies at HEC Paris and the School of Business Administration at the University of California-Berkeley.

Michael R. Bowers has been named dean of the Donald W. Maine College of Business at Davenport University. Most recently the academic director for the Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship and a professor at Rollins College, Bowers earned his BA at Florida State University, his MBA at Southern Illinois University, and his PhD at Texas A&M University.

Kathryne Carr has been chosen to run the expanded Darden Business Incubator at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Carr, co-founder and managing director at Tall Oaks Capital Partners LLC, is a graduate of Allegheny College with a BA in political science.

Fabiola Currarino joined the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University as executive director of the career management center. Most recently associate director in the career development office at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Currarino earned her BBA from Pontificia Universidad Catolica in Lima, Peru, and her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Amy Hillman has been named dean of Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, effective March 1, 2013. The school’s current executive dean, Hillman earned her BA at Trinity University in Texas, her MBA at the University of the Incarnate Word, and her PhD in strategic management and business and public policy at Texas A&M University.

W. Carter Hoerr has been named executive director of advancement at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Darden School Foundation at the University of Virginia. The interim executive director of advancement for Darden since May 2012, Hoerr earned his BA at the University of Virginia.

Andrey L. Kostin has been elected dean of the Graduate School of Management at St. Petersburg University. The president and chairman of the management board and member of the supervisory council of JSC VTB Bank and a professor at the school, Kostin holds an undergraduate degree in international economics and a PhD in economics from Moscow State University.

Elizabeth A. Mannix has been named associate dean for executive education at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. The Ann Whitney Olin Professor of Management at the school, Mannix earned her BA at Roosevelt University and her PhD in social and organizational psychology at the University of Chicago.

Locke Ogens has been named chief of staff for external relations at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Darden School Foundation. The interim chief of staff for external relations since May 2012, Ogens earned her BA at the University of Virginia.

Ryan Todd has been named associate director for student development in the career management center at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. Formerly a graduate assistant in the career center at Auburn University, Todd earned his BS at Texas Tech and his master of education degree at Auburn.
