Next month, Ashridge Business School will offer one of the UK’s first courses on business model innovation, a two-day program designed to help managers create new businesses and transform existing businesses. … The W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University has launched a certificate program in real estate development. … Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management has expanded its Cornell-Queen’s executive MBA program to include students in Bogota, Colombia, and Monterrey, Mexico. They join nearly 160 other MBA students in the program who study via videoconferencing from some 26 sites in North America. …

The Graduate School of Business Administration at Fordham University has announced an executive program, “The Fordham Forum on Leadership and Growth,” designed for mid- and high-level executives in business, government, and nonprofit organizations and scheduled for November. … Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business will introduce a fast-track master of science program in global hospitality management next fall. The one-year program was created by Robinson’s Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration. Separately, the school has also announced that the S.S. Huebner Foundation for Insurance Education, dedicated to strengthening collegiate insurance education, will be relocated to the department of risk management and insurance within Robinson. …

Harvard Business School will host an executive education program, “Corporate Social Responsibility: Strategies to Create Business and Social Value,” from October 17-20, 2012 . … The School of Business and Management at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has announced plans to introduce a pre-experience master’s program in international management. A collaboration with CEMS, a global alliance in management education, the one-year program is tailored for recent graduates or those with less than two years of postgraduate work experience. …

IESE has launched the first offering of its executive MBA in Brazil. The school also offers programs in management development and advanced management in Brazil, in collaboration with ISE Business School. … More than 1,000 recordings from the London School of Economics and Political Science’s public lectures program and other LSE podcasts are now available to download from the social sound platform SoundCloud. … The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business, is launching an online management certificate in the business of hospitality. …

The Centre for Asset Management Research and Investments of NUS Business School will be partnering with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association to give students greater exposure to alternative investments. … Thunderbird School of Global Management has been chosen to train a select group of 27 female entrepreneurs from Haiti, as part of a partnership with the U.S. State Department and the Goldman Sachs “10,000 Women” initiative. … The University at Buffalo School of Management is collaborating with the Chicago Institute of Business to enhance its online mini-MBA program for individuals in the Middle East and North Africa, adding modules customized by CIB for individual countries on such topics as Islamic finance, Islamic jurisprudence, and Egyptian labor law. …

To help MBA students prepare for the transition from school to work, the Liautaud Graduate School of Business at the University of Illinois is experimenting this fall with two two-credit professional development courses, “Creating Careers That Count,” and “Using the Power of Social Networks to Take Control of Your Career.” … The Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester is introducing specialized MS degree programs in business analytics and pricing, and a one-year MBA degree tailored to career-builders. …

The University of Stellenbosch Business School plans to launch a postgraduate diploma in project management next year that will focus on strategic project management and upper-management skills. Separately, USB’s executive development arm has formed a partnership with the Institute of Development Management in Swaziland to offer citizens there access to quality education in management and leadership in their own country. … Effective this fall, students enrolled in any of the six minors in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University will have the same, unrestricted access to business classes as business majors. Minors in business diversity, business leadership, real estate, and applied business computing are open to majors throughout the university. …

Boise State University will offer an executive master of business operational excellence beginning next May. … Lourdes University has added a part-time, evening, 24-month option to its full-time, 12-month MBA program. … Lynn University is merging its college of hospitality and management into an expanded College of Business and Management. … MidAmerica Nazarene University has begun offering Kauffman FastTrac courses –created by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the largest foundation in the world devoted to entrepreneurship—to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. …

Ohio University’s College of Business has started an online MBA. … Regent University has changed the name of its School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship to School of Business & Leadership. … Sacramento State University’s College of Business Administration announced plans to offer an international MBA in Singapore. … Strathclyde Business School is extending its international reach through a partnership with French business school SKEMA that blends Strathclyde’s nine business education centers with SKEMA’s sites in China, India, Morocco, Russia, Australia, and the US to create a global network of 15 campuses. The schools will also exchange faculty and collaborate on research. …

The University at Albany, State University of New York School of Business is starting a graduate certificate program in information security. … The Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick recently signed an agreement with the School of Labor and Human Resources at Renmin University in Beijing encompassing student and faculty exchanges as well as research. … The Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is launching a Boston-based “Executive Suite,” a portfolio of three online and in-person management strategy classes for business professionals. …

The University of Michigan-Flint School of Management has signed student exchange agreements with ESCEM in Poitier, France, and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. … With Korn/Ferry International as a partner, the University of Sydney Business School has launched a revised MBA program focused on leadership. … Washington State University has started a one-year MBA program. … The George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology at Webster University has established a master of arts program in nonprofit leadership. … West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics and School of Pharmacy have signed an agreement creating the state’s first doctor of pharmacy and MBA dual-degree program.
