Ashridge Business School has signed an agreement to validate degrees from Lorange Institute of Business in Zurich, Switzerland. Students who successfully complete Lorange’s EMBA program and Executive Master of Science in Management (MSc) will receive a dual degree, with certificates from both institutions . … Columbia Business School Executive Education has announced its first online program. The inaugural program, Personal Leadership Online, offered in partnership with the Institute for Personal Leadership, is designed to help executives master their goals and values so they can become more effective leaders . … Four colleges at Cornell University, including the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Business, have created a university-wide business minor, designed to expand exposure to business concepts and methods for student who are pursuing a variety of majors. …

Conceived in 1912 and opened in 1913 as the College of Commerce, the Richard H. Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a yearlong series of events. … The Risk Institute at EDHEC has partnered with the CFA Institute, a global, nonprofit organization of investment professionals, on an executive education seminar, “Advances in Equity Portfolio Construction.” The program will be offered this month in Singapore and in February in London. … Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University has opened an office in Amsterdam, in part to bring executive education programs closer to executives based there. … ESADE has started an international bachelor of business administration program, delivered entirely in English, and a double degree in business administration and law. The school has also launched a master in legal practice degree, which offers students an option to specialize in international business law and carry out practical training at universities around the world. …

ESSEC Business School has launched a general management program tailored to business leaders in Mauritius and Southeast Africa. … The Institute for Competitiveness, the Indian partner of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School, and the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management have collaborated to create the Prosperity Institute of India, designed to enhance prosperity and creativity in Asia, with a focus on technology, tolerance, and talent. …

HEC Montréal has created a media and management center, designed to prepare content producers to manage media companies and to make company managers aware of the importance of the media in business strategies. Separately, the school announced a partnership between the HEC Montréal Media Centre and Ina EXPERT, the higher education, vocational training, and research branch of French Institut National de l’Audiovisuel. The partners will jointly organize meetings, seminars, lectures, forums and workshops. In addition, HEC Montréal has created a virtual campus, EDUlib, a platform that offers online courses in management for the public. … Senior faculty and administrators from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the University of Southern California, and Bocconi University gathered in Milan last month to celebrate the official launch of the World Bachelor in Business (WBB) program, a joint program in which students will live and study on three continents and earn degrees from the three universities. …

INCAE Business School has inked an agreement with the National Association of Private Enterprise of El Salvador to cooperate in training, academics, and research. … INSEAD and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania have signed an agreement to continue their educational alliance for another three years. Among other benefits, the alliance enables MBA and PhD students to study across INSEAD’s campuses in Fontainebleau, France, and Singapore, and Wharton’s campus in Philadelphia. … Portland State University plans to launch an online undergraduate business degree next fall. Focused on management and leadership, the program will replace PSU’s weekend undergraduate business degree program, which has been phased out. …

The trustees of Rollins College have approved three new programs in the Crummer Graduate School of Business, including master of science programs in entrepreneurship and management and an executive doctorate in business administration. … MISB Bocconi, a Mumbai-based initiative of SDA Bocconi School of Management, has started executive education programs and a Center of Excellence for Insurance . … The Institute for Business and Information Technology at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and LexisNexis Legal & Professional have partnered to support Temple’s newly released media index to track and score the presidential, Senate, House and gubernatorial campaigns across social, broadcast and print media. …

Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School has opened a 24,000-square-foot facility in CITYCENTRE, a development in west Houston, that will house its professional and executive MBA programs. … The University at Buffalo and its School of Management have announced plans to invest US$525,000 to expand the school’s center for entrepreneurial leadership. Separately, the school created a quantitative finance track for master of science students. … The Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, has created the U.S. - Israel Center on Innovation and Economic Sustainability, supported in part by the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego’s Israel Studies Fund, and dedicated to collaboration between businesses, entrepreneurs, researchers, and the diverse cultures of Israel to enable the translation of technology into new global market opportunities. …

The University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business announced that it will add an institute for regional forecasting to its range of centers and institutes. The IRF was previously housed within the university’s Hobby Center for Public Policy and holds biannual symposia to give a real estate and economic outlook for the area. … The University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Management announced plans to offer another Executive MBA class in downtown Des Moines, following a successful inaugural run. The next accelerated EMBA program will begin in January 2014. …

The University of Michigan has inaugurated a master of entrepreneurship program, a joint endeavor between the university’s Ross School of Business and its school of engineering. … The University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School has announced “Essentials for Successful Cross-Cultural Business,” a series of workshops and webinars for business professionals across industries who seek to refine their cross-cultural communication skills to successfully do business across borders. Separately, the school has partnered the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business to create “Up Your Game: A Leadership Challenge,” a simulation tool designed to help business schools enhance leadership programs by testing students’ readiness to demonstrate their capacity for leadership and assume responsibility. … The Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon has brought centers for entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices under one umbrella, the Business Innovation Institute.

Knowledge@Wharton, the online research and business analysis journal of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, has launched Israel Knowledge@Wharton. Adding to a global network of websites that includes Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Indian, and Arabic editions along with the U.S.-based parent site, the site, offered for free and published in English, will include articles that focus on Israeli innovation and entrepreneurship, among other topics . … The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business has launched a master of business for veterans program. Developed through conversations with Marshall alumni and the California Department of Veterans Affairs, the degree is targeted to veteran and active military personnel and is designed to translate skills acquired through military service to the business environment . …

The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin is taking applications for an undergraduate certificate program in real estate, reviving a curriculum that was last offered some two decades ago. … With a goal of enhancing the business of health care in northwest Ohio and beyond, the University of Toledo College of Business and Innovation and the university’s College of Medicine and Life Sciences have taken a lead role in establishing a new school at the institution, the School of Healthcare Business Innovation and Excellence. …

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business has launched an executive education program aimed at preparing high-potential executives of color for C-suite roles in the communications industry. Occurring in four sessions over a seven-month period, the program is presented in partnership with the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications. Separately, Darden has signed a strategic partnership with three leading financial institutions in the Middle East—the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, the Institute of Banking in Saudi Arabia, and the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies. Under the agreement, students from countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council will be able to take part in a three-week leadership development program at the Darden campus. … The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee has started an online graduate certificate program in business analytics.

Brock University changed the name of its Faculty of Business to the Goodman School of Business, named for the family of Ned Goodman, who has been the University’s chancellor for the past five years. … Chatham University now offers a sustainable business track in its MBA program. … The College of Saint Rose has opened the US$3.5 million Huether School of Business. … Dalhousie University has named its business school the Kenneth C. Rowe School of Business. … Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has announced plans to establish the Embry-Riddle Worldwide College of Business, which would replace its current Worldwide Department of Business Administration. …

Henley Business School South Africa is set to launch the Henley Real Estate Centre Africa, intended to provide postgraduate and executive education for the real estate, built environment, and planning industries. … The Indian Institute of Management, Raipur has started a postgraduate program for working executives. In addition, IIM Raipur has agreed to partner with both the HLL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok in student and faculty exchange programs and collaborative research projects. … Laurentian University has partnered with Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) in Hangzhou, China to jointly deliver a bachelor degree program in accounting. … Murray State University has dedicated the new home for its business school, the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business.
