At American University, the Kogod School of Business and the School of Communication have partnered to create a master’s of arts in media entrepreneurship program, designed to help mid-career journalists and specialists in public relations and IT master new media. … Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, partnering with the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University in Shanghai and Xavier Labour Relations Institute in Jamshedpur, has announced plans for a Global MBA program. Starting in Fall 2013, a cohort of 60 students—20 from each school—will study for a semester each at SEM-Tongji, XLRI, and Weatherhead, followed by a fourth semester during which students will take electives at their home institution. … CEIBS has launched a mobile app for its English language website. …

Copenhagen Business School has signed a memorandum of understanding with IM Ghaziabad, covering faculty and student exchanges and research. … EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht has extended its partnership with two transportation companies, DB Mobility Logistics AG and OAO Russian Railways, the core of which is a center for international logistics and supply chain management in St. Petersburg. … This fall, ESADE will inaugurate its Barcelona–Sant Cugat campus, which will house the school’s full-time MBA, MSc, and undergraduate programs. Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in Washington, DC, ESADE, and Brazilian business school EBAPE/ Fundação Getulio Vargas are developing a Corporate International Master’s degree program. Slated to begin next spring, the one-year program will be taught in three 11-day sessions in Washington, DC, Rio de Janeiro, and Madrid; one five-day session in Shanghai; and online classes between the four destinations. It will award three degrees, one from each school. … Launching a new suite of online graduate programs, the George Washington University School of Business will begin enrolling students this fall in an online MBA program and master’s programs in information systems technology management, tourism administration, and project management. The school is also partnering with the university’s Homeland Security Policy Institute to start an executive MBA in cybersecurity. …

Harvard Business School has announced two forthcoming leadership development executive education programs, General Management Program: Creating Outstanding Business Leaders and Program for Leadership Development: Accelerating the Careers of High-Potential Leaders. … HEC Montréal, Bocconi University Graduate School of Management, and the Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship program at Southern Methodist University have announced plans to start a12-month master of management degree program in international arts management. … HEC Montréal has agreed to collaborate with the Conseil des arts de Montréal to advance research into the management of arts and culture organizations in Montréal. … HEC Paris has a new façade in the form of a signature building that was inaugurated in June. The school has also introduced a web-based panoramic virtual tour of its facilities. …

Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management is offering the executive education program “Global Leadership: Success in International Business” later this month. … NYU Stern is introducing a new essay to its full-time MBA applications, the first major change in its essays in six years. The question will assess an applicant’s fit with the Stern mission and mindset about creating value in an environment of increased ambiguity. … Later this summer, Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business will team with Resource Interactive to offer an online executive education course in digital marketing. … Starting this August, the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University will offer a once-a-week Saturday-only MBA program in general management in Los Angeles. … In late May, the Lally School of Management and Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hosted its first business plan competition for high school students. Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business is gearing up to launch an executive MBA in Aboriginal business and leadership in September. The program, the first of its kind in Canada, meets a growing need for senior-level management education for Aboriginal managers, entrepreneurs, and individuals and organizations that work with Aboriginal communities, and reflects the growing role of business development for First Nations. … The Fox School of Business at Temple University has signed an exchange agreement with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia, the ENPC School of International Management in Paris, and the International Executive Education Center in Singapore that allows EMBA students from any of these partner programs to study at any of the other three locations. … The University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business has announced a professional development program focused on sustainable business practices and targeted to middle managers. …

The University of Edinburgh Business School, home to an MSc program in carbon management and carbon finance, was instrumental in the development and recent launch of Scotland’s Association of Carbon Professionals. … The Richard Ivey School of Business Asia at the University of Western Ontario and China University of Political Science and Law have teamed to provide case-based executive education programs in leadership and legal practices in international business. …

California State University Channel Islands and Santa Barbara City College are partnering to offer three new bachelor’s degree programs, including a B.-to-MBA program. … Dublin City University is starting an MSc in management programs in cloud computing, digital marketing, and strategy. … Griffith College Limerick has been approved by Edinburgh Business School to deliver its MBA program at its Limerick campus. … JECRC University, based in Jaipur, India, has partnered with the education company EduKart to start the EduKart JU Leadership MBA. …

Philadelphia University has announced an MBA program in strategic design that it says “combines the analytical intelligence of business with the creative intelligence of design.”… Saint Leo University announced plans to offer its general MBA as well as a one-year international and experiential MBA program in Tampa. … Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business in Jordon has added an MBA concentration in logistics. … The University of Colorado-Colorado Springs College of Business will conduct a certificate program for sports industry professionals next month.
