The Georgia Institute of Technology has announced a US$50 million donation from alumnus Ernest Scheller Jr. and has named its former college of management the Scheller College of Business.

Bob Sasser and his wife, Pam, have donated US$1 million to kick-start at US$65 million campaign for a new building for the Florida State University College of Business.

Reflecting a US$40 million gift from alumnus Michael R. Quinlan, Loyola University Chicago announced that its School of Business Administration and affiliated Graduate School of Business will now be known as the Michael R. Quinlan School of Business.

Under a five-year, US$3 million award from the National Science Foundation, business and life science faculty at Worcester Polytechnic Institute will collaborate on a program designed to train researchers to think like entrepreneurs in translating findings into solutions for societal problems.

Doug and Pam Van Scoy have donated US$1.5 million to West Virginia University’s College of Business and Economics.
