Belinda Dowdy is the new assistant director of career development at the North Carolina State Jenkins Graduate School of Management MBA program. She most recently was a certified professional coach, helping small business owners reorganize their operations and counseling doctoral students struggling to complete their degree requirements. She has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee.

Mel Horwitch is the new dean of Central European University's (CEU) Business School. He was most recently professor of technology management at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, where he was also Director of the Institute for Technology & Enterprise. He received an AB from Princeton University and an MBA and doctorate from Harvard Business School.

Jeffrey Katz becomes dean of the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University on June 27, 2011.  He is currently associate dean of graduate programs and professor of management at Kansas State University. Katz earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s degree in agribusiness from Arizona State University and a master’s in management and doctorate in strategic management from the University of Florida.

John Quelch will become dean of CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in Shanghai in February. Quelch was most recently Lincoln Filene Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. He holds BA and MA degrees from Exeter College, Oxford University, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an MS from the Harvard School of Public Health, and a DBA from Harvard Business School.

Peter Tufano will become Peter Moores Dean of Oxford’s Said Business School as of July 1, 2011. He is currently the Sylvan C. Coleman Professor of Financial Management at Harvard Business School and earned three degrees from Harvard: an AB in economics, an MBA, and PhD in Business Economics.
 
Dominique Turpin has been confirmed president of IMD. Turpin, an IMD faculty member, has been interim president since July. He received his master's degree from ESSCA in France and a doctorate in economics from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
