Paul Almeida has been named senior associate dean for executive degree and non-degree programs at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Almeida is also associate professor of strategy and international business. He holds a PhD from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Sudhakar (Sid) Balachandran has been appointed the first Assistant Dean for Teaching Excellence at Columbia Business School. He has been a professor at the school since 2000. He holds a BS and MBA degrees from Northwestern and a DBA from Harvard Business School.

Hongbin Cai is the new dean of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. He is associate dean and professor in the department of applied economics. He holds a BS in mathematics from Wuhan University, an MA in economics from Peking University, and an MS in statistics and PhD in economics from Stanford University.

Kimberly Corbin has been appointed as president and CEO of the National Black MBA Association. She has an undergraduate degree from Florida A&M University and an MBA from Harvard.

Stephanie Fujii has been named executive director of full-time MBA Admissions at the University of California Haas School of Business. She was executive director of Kokoro Assisted Living and an associate with Mercer Consulting. She holds an MBA from Haas.

Bernard Garrette has been appointed associate dean of the MBA program at HEC Paris. As a professor, he holds the Atos-Origin Chair. He has MSc and PhD degrees from HEC Paris.

Leonard Jessup will become dean of the University of Arizona Eller College of Management  in May. He is chair of the department of entrepreneurship and information systems and director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington State University. Jessup holds BA and MBA degrees from California State University, Chico,  and a PhD in from the University of Arizona.

Gita Johar becomes senior vice dean of Columbia Business School on July 1. She is the Meyer Feldberg Professor of Business and first vice dean for research. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a PhD from New York University.

François Julien has been named dean at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. He was previously vice dean and has been acting dean since July 1. He received a bachelor of commerce from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s of Applied Science and a PhD from the University of Waterloo.

David Ikenberry has been named dean of the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business.  He is associate dean of the business school at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds a BS in mineral economics from Pennsylvania State University, an MM from Northwestern University, and a PhD in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Harold Lewis is associate dean of the evening MBA program at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Lewis was most recently vice president/general manager at Weather Channel Interactive. He holds an AB in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Goizueta.


 
Brian Mitchell has been named associate dean of the full-time MBA program at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He was previously director of Marketing at Solvay Pharmaceuticals. Mitchell earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Morehouse College in Atlanta and has an MBA from Goizueta  and well as a master’s degree in health policy and management from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health.

Robert Park is the new executive director of corporate relations and career management for the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester. He was founder and chief executive officer of NextPoint Advisors. He holds a BA in economics and political science from SUNY Oswego.

Katherine Schieffelin is vice president of development for the Darden School Foundation of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She was most recently senior campaign officer and director of stewardship for the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a BA in English from Skidmore College and a JD from Pace University School of Law.

Xinzhong Xu is the new associate dean in charge of the MBA program, Career Development Center and International Relations at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. He was most recently associate dean of EDP programs, Career Development Center and International Relations. He received a B.Sc in geophysics from Peking University, an MBA from Aston University, and a PhD in finance from Lancaster University.

Assaf Zeevi becomes vice dean for research at Columbia Business School on July 1. He is currently the Kravis Professor of Business in the school's decision, risk, and operations division. He holds BSc and MS degrees from Technion, the Israeli Institute of Technology, and an MS and a PhD from Stanford University.
