Modupe Akinola has been named assistant professor of management at Columbia Business School. She earned her PhD in social psychology and organizational behavior from Harvard University earlier this year.

Omar Besbes is a new assistant professor in the Decision, Risk and Operations division of Columbia Business School. He earned his PhD in decision, risk and operations from Columbia Business School and was assistant professor of operations and information management at The Wharton School.

Carri Chan will join the Decision, Risk and Operations division of Columbia Business School as an assistant professor in January. She earned an MS and a PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Edwige Cheynel is a new assistant professor of accounting at Columbia Business School. She earned a PhD in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon earlier this year.

Moshe Cohen has been named assistant professor in the finance and economics division of Columbia Business School. He received a PhD in economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology earlier this year.

Bill Davis has been named the associate dean for the Working Professional MBA programs at the Wake Forest University Schools of Business. Davis has been on the Wake Forest faculty for more than 12 years. He earned his Ph.D. in organizational communication from the Ohio State University.

Marina Halac is a new assistant professor in the finance and economics division of Columbia Business School. She received a PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, earlier this year.

Urooj Khan has been named assistant professor of accounting at Columbia Business School. He earned a PhD in economics from Michael G. Foster School of Business, University of Washington, earlier this year.

Mithu Mohren has been promoted from assistant to the president to marketing manager of the Kellogg-WHU EMBA Program at the WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany. Mohren has an MBA in marketing from the University of Illinois and a BS in accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Ernesto Reuben is a new assistant professor in the management division of Columbia Business School. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Amsterdam.

David Patterson has been named assistant dean of administration for the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University. He is the former president and CEO of QualChoice of North Carolina Inc. Patterson holds an MBA from the University of Georgia, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and an MA in history from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he is pursuing his PhD.

Len B. Preslar Jr. is the new executive director of Health Management Programs and distinguished professor of practice for the Wake Forest University Schools of Business. Preslar, former chief executive officer of the North Carolina Baptist Hospital, holds a BA in economics and MBA in finance.
