What’s New on

Visited lately? The site is bursting with new content and better functionality—and more improvements are coming all the time.

For example, GMAC has launched an online News Center. Designed to inform journalists, business school professionals, and the general public about graduate management education, the News Center offers a mix of podcasts, videos, articles, and other features. Recent podcasts, for example, explore the rising prominence of Asian and European business schools and the satisfaction of MBA alumni with their business school experiences. The News Center also provides quick access to facts and figures about management education. Visitors can sign up to receive press releases by email or RSS feed, subscribe to podcasts through iTunes, and share material on the site through social networking sites, including Facebook and MySpace.

Many of the improvements make it easier to browse You can now bookmark any page on the site for display on the “My GMAC” page. Each page has a link so you can email that page to a friend. You can also personalize the “My GMAC” page by adding your photograph. GMAC members can now find contact information for their Member Service Specialist in “My GMAC.” Information about payment profiles and recent invoice history has been moved to “My Profile.”

Other changes will help site visitors navigate GMAC tools.  For example, the usability of the GMAC Interactive Profile has been improved with applications that make it simpler to use and shorten response times significantly.

More site improvements are in the works. In the months ahead you can expect to see:

  • Better job searches. Business schools will soon have more flexibility for listing job openings, including the ability to submit and manage position postings directly on the site and count the “clicks” their ad receives. Job seekers will be able to search for openings based on such criteria as location, job category, and position title.
  • Better research sifting. The Research & Trends channel is scheduled for a facelift to improve functionality and add dynamic graphs and charts. Site visitors will see better tools for searching GMAC’s research publications and will be able to sign up for alerts about new research.
  • Enhanced membership directory. GMAC’s Member Directory will get improved search capabilities and a new interface.
