Shannon Demko has been appointed the associate director of graduate admissions at American University's Kogod School of Business.  Demko returns to the Kogod School after serving as an associate director of graduate admissions at Emory University and working for the American Council on Education.

Maury Kalnitz has been named director of the Executive Doctorate in Business program at Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. The program will begin classes in fall 2009. Kalnitz, a graduate of Robinson's Executive MBA program as well as its former director, served as the first managing director of the Executive MBA Council.

Kevin M. Kiley is now senior associate director of MBA admissions at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Kiley joined the Olin School in 2006 as associate director of MBA admissions. Kiley earned a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Dayton in 1998 and a master's in business administration from the Olin School in 2007.

Lars Mathiassen has been named academic director of the Executive Doctorate in Business program at Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Mathiassen is professor of Computer Information Systems at Robinson and co-founder of its Center for Process Innovation.
 
Steven Olson has been named director of the Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility at Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Olson co-founded what was then known as the Southern Institute for Business and Professional Ethics at its inception in 1993. Olson holds a PhD in Ethics and Society from Emory and a Master’s in Religion from Yale University.

Angela Raub has been named director of corporate relations at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. She was director of Robinson's Professional MBA program and is slated to graduate from the college's Executive MBA program in December 2008. Raub received her BA in communications and management in 1991 from the University of Toledo.

John W. Truslow III has been named associate director of the Center for Ethics and Corporate Responsibility at Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Truslow was ethics program manager at XO Communications in Herndon, Virginia. He earned a BA in Political Theory from the University of the South and a Master’s in Philosophy from the University of Montana.

Demos Vardiabasis, professor of economics at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management and Commissioner for the California Commission for Economic Development (CED), has been appointed to chair the Commission’s Entertainment and Tourism Advisory Committee. Vardiabasis leads the Presidential and Key Executive (PKE) MBA degree program and Executive MBA degree program at Pepperdine University.
