Bethanie Anderson has been elected to the MBA Roundtable board of directors. Anderson is assistant dean of marketing and strategy at the Villanova School of Business. Until 2007, she served as executive director of the MBA Roundtable and editor of MBA Innovation. Prior to her arrival at Villanova, Anderson was a strategic research and communications associate at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Mervin Bakker is the new head of marketing and communications at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Prior to this position, he was manager, international programmes, at the Amsterdam Business School (ABS), which is part of the FEB. Before joining the Universiteit van Amsterdam, Bakker worked in various commercial roles in the Netherlands and Thailand. He obtained his MSc in International Economics & Economic Geography from Utrecht University and is currently pursuing an MBA in Higher Education Management at the University of London's Institute of Education.

Jennifer Chizuk was promoted to senior assistant dean and chief operating officer of UC Berkeley’s Walter A. Haas School of Business. Since 2004, Chizuk has been the executive director of the Evening and Weekend MBA Programs at Haas. Prior to that, she was the director of the MBA program at Michigan State University. Before joining Michigan State, Chizuk held positions as project engineer, maintenance supervisor, and financial analyst at General Motors. She holds two bachelor of science degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering from Kettering University and an MBA from Michigan State with an emphasis in marketing. Chizuk has also served on the GMAC® Board of Directors.

Carleen Kerttula was appointed full-time executive director for the MBA Roundtable. Kerttula most recently served as assistant dean for the full-time MBA program at the University of Minnesota. Prior to pursuing her career in educational administration, she spent seven years in a managerial role in the international division of The Toro Company. Kerttula holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Yvonne Langen is the new manager international programmes at the Amsterdam Business School, Faculty of Economics and Business, at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Previously, Langen was marketing and communications manager for the Faculty of Geosciences at Utrecht University; before that, she served in various international marketing and sales positions. Langen studied business communications at Radboud University in Nijmegen, in the eastern part of the Netherlands.

Dave Louis is the new assistant director of marketing and recruiting for the Mays MBA Program at Texas A&M University. He has worked at various institutions, from Huston-Tillotson College to Columbia University. Louis earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Morehouse College, his master’s in education at Harvard University, and his doctorate in higher education administration at Texas A&M University.

Monica M. Martin is the new director of MBA career services at University of California, Riverside’s A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management. Prior to coming to UC Riverside, she was the assistant director in the MBA Career Center at University of California, Irvine, The Merage School of Business. Monica has a bachelor of science degree in behavioral science from National University and a master of education degree in student affairs from Azusa Pacific University

Jett Pihakis is the new associate dean for MBA programs at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business. His previous position was as director of domestic admissions, full-time MBA program, at UC Berkeley's Walter A. Haas School of Business. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University and a PhD in education from Stanford University. Pihakis also served as conference chair for the 2006 GMAC® Annual Industry Conference.

Alexander Sevilla has been appointed assistant dean and director of MBA programs at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. Prior to joining the University of Florida in 1998, Sevilla served as associate director of graduate business programs at the University of Miami. He earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Miami, where he focused on marketing and management. Inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma in 1997, he now serves as the Secretary of the Warrington College of Business’ BGS chapter. Sevilla also served on the GMAC® Advisory Council in 2005-06, and currently sits on UF’s Career Resource Center Advisory Committee.
