- In 1997, business schools worldwide introduced just 74 new graduate management programs (including MBA programs).
- In 2007, by contrast, 641 new programs were introduced.
- Between 1997 and 2007, 3,710 new graduate management programs (including MBA programs) were introduced throughout the world. Of these new programs—
- 1,553 were started by European schools;
- 1,449 were introduced in Asia, South America, Australia, and Africa; and
- 708 were launched in North America.
