Deans

Dennis A. Ahlburg has been appointed dean of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He formerly served as senior associate dean of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Ahlburg holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Stefanie Lenway has been appointed dean and professor of managerial studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Business Administration. Lenway previously was associate dean of MBA programs and professor of strategic management at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She holds doctor and master of business administration degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.

Gary Lindblad has become assistant dean and director of the MBA program at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. Lindblad has spent the past three years at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto; earlier, he worked at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English and education from the State University of New York at Fredonia and master’s and doctor of education degrees from UCLA.

James M. Olver has been named assistant dean of the MBA program at the College of William and Mary School of Business. He holds a PhD in business administration from the University of Virginia.

Admissions, Career Services, Financial Aid, Marketing, Program Administrators, and Student Services Professionals

Susan Bach has been named executive director of the Center for Leadership Development at Rollins College’s Crummer Graduate School of Business. The center’s role is to provide students with opportunities to develop and apply leadership skills and learn about the role leaders play in effective organizations. Bach, a certified executive coach, earned bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from New York University.

Caroline Diarte-Edwards has been named director of admission, marketing, and external relations at the MBA program at INSEAD. She previously worked for the International Finance Corp. in Indonesia. Diarte-Edwards holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Mukul P. Gupta has been named director of the WITS Business School at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Gupta joins the school from the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon, India, where he has served as a professor of marketing since 2000. He earned PhD, MBA, and BSc degrees from the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur, India.

Niki Healey has been named manager of MBA recruitment at the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business. Healey, who graduated from Ivey’s Honors in Business Administration (HBA) program, joins Ivey’s MBA program office after a two-year assignment as a pre-business lecturer at the school. She also has experience in sales, marketing, and client-relationship management in the banking industry.

Carrie Marcinkevage has assumed the post of admissions director for the MBA program at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business. She previously worked in marketing and consulting positions with Strategic Management Group. Marcinkevage earned degrees in policy and management studies and philosophy from Dickinson College and an MS in organizational dynamic from the University of Pennsylvania.

Carlane Pittman has become director of the MBA program at the College of William and Mary School of Business. She previously served as assistant dean of graduate studies for the faculty of arts and sciences at William and Mary School of Arts and Sciences. Pittman earned a PhD in higher education from William and Mary’s educational policy, planning, and leadership program.

Glen Schuler has been selected as director of the full-time MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He previously worked as an executive at Columbia Gas Transmission and taught at the University of Houston and the University of Tennessee. Schuler became affiliated with the MBA program in Knoxville in 2001. He earned an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin and a doctorate in economics from the University of Houston.
