GMAT® Volume Is Looking Up

Year-to-date GMAT® volume through February 28, 2005—33,683 worldwide—shows a 1.2% increase when compared with the number of tests taken during the same time period in 2004. The uptick in year-over-year volume is in sharp contrast with the year-over-year volume comparison for the first two months of 2004, which showed a 14% decline in testing volume from 2003.

The number of GMAT® tests taken in the United States during the first two months of calendar year 2005 rose 2.8%, compared with testing volume during the first two months of calendar year 2004. Outside the United States, testing volume declined 1.8% during this period.

GMAT® volume during February displayed particularly sharp increases in several countries, including Taiwan, where volume for the month rose 22%, compared with February 2004, and Thailand, which posted a 16% jump over volume for the first two months of 2004. Among European countries, testing volume was up 14.4% in Germany, 15.6% in Italy, and 10.2% in the United Kingdom.
