GMAT® Volume Decline Slows Worldwide

As of October 31, 2004, year-to-date GMAT® volume around the world was 162,121. That figure is 7.8% lower than the volume recorded during the first 10 months of 2003.

Within the United States, year-to-date GMAT® volume came in at 111,492—5.7% less than the comparable figure in 2003. Meanwhile, there were 50,629 GMAT® administrations outside the United States during the first 10 months of the year, a 12.2% drop compared with the same period in 2003.

Data indicate that the continuing decline in the number of GMAT® tests taken outside the United States is being driven by decreases in the number of tests taken in China, India, and Canada.
