GMAT™ Volume Decline Slows Worldwide

As of October 31, 2004, year-to-date GMAT volume around the world was 162,121. That figure is 7.8% lower than the volume recorded during the first 10 months of 2003.

Within the United States, year-to-date GMAT volume came in at 111,492—5.7% less than the comparable figure in 2003. Meanwhile, there were 50,629 GMAT® administrations outside the United States during the first 10 months of the year, a 12.2% drop compared with the same period in 2003.

Data indicate that the continuing decline in the number of GMAT tests taken outside the United States is being driven by decreases in the number of tests taken in China, India, and Canada.
