The Admissions Institute (AI) is a professional development program tailored for China and designed to equip those in admissions with the knowledge and networks they need to be successful in their careers. AI is an essential program for every professional working in admissions, recruitment, outreach or marketing.
Designed as a cohort learning, executive education experience, this comprehensive program utilizes a combined learning methodology that includes lectures, cases, group discussions, workshops, and individual contribution to help participants master the admissions profession. ||Steven Burton is the former Managing Director of Executive Degrees at INSEAD in Singapore. His distinguished career in the Business School sector spans Singapore, the USA and Pakistan. His previous roles include Assistant Dean, Postgraduate Programmes at Singapore Management University (SMU), Associate Dean, MBA Programmes at the Karachi School for Business and Leadership in Pakistan, Director MBA Programmes at The University of Texas at Austin and 20 years in corporate roles with IBM and other firms. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas, an Engineering degree from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business at Singapore Management University where he is researching Change Management Leadership within Business Schools
||Sherring Ng is a seasoned marketing and admissions professional. She led her team to triple media coverage, quadruple eDM click rate, and recruit each MBA class for more than 100 students of over 30 nationalities. Not only did she join forces with top schools in Asia to raise the profile of the region’s MBA programs internationally, during her tenure, HKUST MBA was also ranked world’s top 10 by Financial Times 4 years in a row. When she headed the marketing and admissions for Chicago Booth EMBA – Asia, she improved the yield rate from 69% to 82%, resulting in a class of 78 students with 25 nationalities. Currently she is responsible for a strategic partnership between HKUST and Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. She received her MBA from HKUST.
Who Should Attend?
AI China is exclusively designed for admissions, recruitment, outreach and marketing professionals from business schools in China, no matter if you are working for Full-time or Part-time programs or MBA or Masters programs. We suggest professionals with 6-36 months experience are ideally suited to the program, however, professionals with more experience have also found it to be valuable to sharpen their skills and provide leadership during class discussions.
