Do men and women communicate differently? How do societal messages impact the way we perceive women in business? This interactive session will discuss communication differences by and within gender; non-verbal communication/body language; cultivating the potential of the people with whom we work and live; communication best practices online, on the phone, and in person; cognitive distortions related to self-directed communication. We will also discuss how can we make a lasting impact by improving communication skills, accepting diverse communication approaches within gender groups, and ultimately, changing societal expectations for women in the workplace. Both male and female participants are encouraged to attend, as this topic focuses on developing and fostering effective communication, regardless of gender, on three levels: societal, interpersonal, and self-directed.
