The GMAC 2015 Annual Conference was a great success!
The conference provided two eye-opening keynotes and featured over 90+ concurrent session speakers in four timeframes.
Thank you to all who attended, speakers and experts who shared their knowledge and best practices, the GMAC 2015 Annual Conference Advisory Group, and everyone who helped make this program a success.

Registration Fees & Policies
The 2015 GMAC Annual Conference is at capacity, registration is now closed. Please contact email@example.com with inquiries.
Registration fees after April 1, 2015 are US$ 999
Acceptable forms of payment include VISA, American Express, Discover Card, and Check.
You will receive an email confirmation within five (5) business days after submitting your registration request. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Refunds will be granted if email cancellation notification is sent to email@example.com on or before May 16, 2015. Refunds will not be granted after this date. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for refund processing.
Registration substitution will be granted if: (1) written notice is received by email at firstname.lastname@example.org on or before June 4, 2015 and (2) replacement registration is submitted on or before June 4, 2015. Substitute registrants will be subject to a US$95 fee if original registration was submitted on or before March 31, 2015.
Know Before You Go
Whether this is your first GMAC conference or your 15th we want you to have the best conference experience ever.
Here are some attendee tips and resources to help you make the most of your GMAC Annual Conference experience and to hit the ground running in Denver!
- Create your learning plan. Review the Agenda to figure out what sessions you want to attend. What are you struggling with at work? Where do you think your next focus will be? Attend sessions on a topics near and dear to your heart.
- Divide and conquer. Are you traveling with colleagues? Review the Agenda together to determine which of you is going to attend what session, so your team can then maximize your conference learning.
- Learn about the confernence on the go. If you don’t have time to review materials while in the office, do it at the airport. Download and install the mobile conference app to get the latest conference updates, upload your conference photos, and more.
- Review the maps included in the mobile conference app to become familiar with the layout of the hotel and meeting rooms.
- Be prepared. Bring a lot of business cards. This conference is all about networking!
- Take notes. use the mobile conference app to take notes on sessions you attend, or bring a notepad or journal to record important learnings. This is a paper-light conference; handouts will not be distributed on site, but will be available following the conference.
- What to wear. Dress is business casual but think "layers." Denver is beautiful in June, but the hotel climate is anyone’s guess so your best bet is to dress in layers during the conference and pack accordingly.
During the Conference:
- Are you new? Attend the First Time Conference Attendee Session on Wednesday, June 24 at 4 pm in Plaza Ballroom E to meet a few new friendly faces!
- Stay informed and engaged. Use the mobile conference app to receive conference updates, reminders, and room changes.
- Arrive early. Get to sessions 5-10 minutes before start time, they are well-attended, so get there early, get a seat, and enjoy!
- Network, network, network. Learn about the 50+ networking opportunities you can participate in during the conference.
- Look for the blue vests. GMAC staff will be wearing blue vests to answer your questions, assist you during the conference.
- Be inspired. Take part in our Be Inspired Contest to interact with conference attendees and win awesome prizes!
- Visit the expo. All new this year, stop by the Vendor Expo to learn about recruiting, marketing, candidate management, CRM tools, and more!
- Get to know GMAC. Stop by the GMAC Opportunity Zone to learn about GMAC products and services to enable you to do your jobs even better.
- Let us welcome you. Attend the Welcome Reception on Wednesday June 24 at 6:30 pm in the Plaza Exhibit Hall to reconnect with old colleagues, meet some new ones, and get yourself ready for the next two whirlwind days.
- Get glam. Update your profile photo by visiting the "Headshot Lounge" in the Vendor Expo & GMAC Opportunity Zone. You’ll receive an email of your selected photo the same day.
- Give us your feedback. Participate in our surveys and polls in the mobile app, use our feedback cards, or post a note on one of the message boards located throughout the conference. We are listening!
- Tweet. Use the conference hashtag #GMAC2015 to post your learnings, favorites, photos and more!
- Get a charge. Come by the Vendor Expo and Opportunity Zone to recharge yourself and your phone at our charging stations.
- Have fun! Finally, and most importantly – make sure to have fun at the conference!
After the Conference:
- Give us your feedback. Take time to complete the on-line evaluation. We take it seriously and use the evaluation to guide and inform future events.
- Download conference presentations. You'll find them on the agenda and the conference app after the conclusion of the conference. Check out not only the slides from the sessions you attended, but those from some that you didn’t attend.
- Get a recap. Several colleagues have volunteered to provide summaries of selected sessions, look for these stories in future editions of Graduate Mangement News.
- Stay connected. Take a look at photos, tweets, contest winners, and more on our GMAC Annual Conference Connections page, which will be sent out post-conference.
- Share and post. Tell the members of the GMAC School Professionals Linked In Group what you learned, what you liked, or who you met!

GMAC Annual Meeting of Member Schools | Wednesday, June 24 | 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Deans and primary and alternate representatives from GMAC Member schools will convene to discuss the overall direction of GMAC with the Council's board of directors and management.
All representative changes must be completed by March 31, 2015. Questions should be sent to email@example.com.

Claudio Fernández-Aráoz | Opening Keynote | Thursday | June 24

Susan Fowler has over 30 years' experience as a researcher, consultant, and coach in over 30 countries around the globe in the field of leadership.
In her most recent best-selling book, Why Motivating People Doesn't Work...and What Does: The New Science of Leading, Energizing, and Engaging, Fowler builds upon the latest scientific research on the nature of human motivation to explain why traditional approaches don’t work. More importantly, she provides a cutting-edge framework, model, and course of action to help leaders shape a workplace where people flourish while producing sustainable results.
Susan is an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego and the bestselling author of Situational Self Leadership and The One Minute Manager with Ken Blanchard and Laurie Hawkins. Attendee Volunteer Opportunities
How can you give back to the Annual Conference and to your colleagues at the same time? By volunteering to become a Session Columnist! By summarizing key session learnings you'll not only be helping us out but also providing your insights to colleagues that are unable to attend that session.
Session Columnists are assigned to a particular session (that you are already planning on attending) and are responsible for writing a summary of that session for publication in Graduate Management News or gmac.com. Summaries should be approximately 200-300 words and are due to GMAC within two weeks after the conference ends. Session columnists will be presented with a small token of appreciation for their participation in addition to being published with a byline.
- Sign up to participate.
- Attend the session you are volunteering for.
- Verify the session title, presenter’s name(s), and university or company affiliation are correct as printed in the program book.
- Take notes during the session.
- Draft your session summary, length should be 200-400 words.
- Submit your session summary, along with the session title, presenters name(s) and university or company affiliations, your name, your title, and your university.
- Submit your summary via email to Anne Daugherty on or before July 10, 2015.
