Integrated Reasoning (IR) Highlights: What You Need To Know

Integrated Reasoning (IR), a 30 minute section of the GMAT™ exam introduced in 2012, is designed to measure a test taker’s ability to convert data from multiple sources and in different formats into relevant information to solve problems─skills identified as critical for success in in the classroom and beyond.

This webcast is designed for people who are interested in learning about IR and how this section of the exam impacts recruiting, admission, and student development decisions.

Highlights

  • Learn why IR was added to the GMAT exam and why faculty felt there was a need to measure new skills. See how this new data point can help measure a candidate’s ability to synthesize data.
  • There are four question types that comprise the IR section: multi-source reasoning, table analysis, graphic interpretation, two-part analysis. Learn about each section and see sample questions.
  • Take a look at the 30-minute IR section that contains 12 questions, requires the use of calculator, and results in a score scale of 1-8 with no partial credit.
