Country Vignette: Pre-experience Graduate Management Education in France

Discover how French GME has evolved and the forces driving change.

Overview

The Country Vignette Series has been developed to illustrate how pre-experience business master's degrees have evolved over a ten-year period. Focusing on the supply of, and demand for, English-language taught master's programs in a single country, each vignette combines quantitative data-compiled from GMAC research on the entire market-with qualitative insights from domestic business schools.

Quick Facts

Over the past 10 years, GMAC research shows that French graduate management education has expanded to meet domestic market demand while also attracting a greater number of international students.  The number of English-language taught master's programs offered by French business schools increased by a factor of more than 1.5, while there was a more than fourfold increase in the number of programs using the GMAT over the same period.  With a discussion of how the market has developed, and a look to the future, this first country vignette will help business school professionals around the world understand how business education in France has, and continues, to evolve.
