Three types of multiple-choice questions are used in the Verbal section: Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning, and Sentence Correction.
The Verbal section of the GMAT™ exam, consisting of 36 questions to be completed in 65 minutes, measures the test taker's ability to:
- Read and comprehend written material
- Reason and evaluate arguments
- Correct written material to conform to standard written English
Scores below 9 and above 44 for the Verbal section or below 7 and above 50 for the Quantitative section are rare. The Verbal and Quantitative scores measure different constructs and are not comparable to each other.
