GMAC Psychometrician Chris Han Receives Top Industry Honor

Han’s research outcomes have been incorporated into the design and implementation of the GMAT® exam and other testing programs to improve quality, measurement efficiency, and test-taking experience.

National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) has awarded Chris Han, senior psychometrician at the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the NCME Annual Award for 2017. NCME is the world’s largest and most respected association for psychometricians, scholars, and measurement experts. The NCME Annual Award is considered one of the highest honors in the field of psychometrics.

Chris HanThe NCME Annual Award was established to recognize exceptional achievement in multiple categories. It is given to recognize an outstanding technical or scientific contribution to the public or the field of educational measurement, and may also be given to recognize exceptional service.

Han’s research has been widely published in a variety of peer-reviewed scientific journals, including Applied Psychological Measurement and Practical Assessment, Research & Evaluation. Additionally, his work has been featured in text books, including: Education Measurement: From Foundation to Future; and Computerized Multistage Testing: Theory and Applications.
