The University at Buffalo—Blood Drive

On October 27, 2008, the University at Buffalo Graduate Management Association (GMA) sponsored a blood drive run by Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS). Forty-two units of blood were collected, separated into the three different blood products, and sent to WNY hospitals. These efforts are estimated to help save the lives of up to 126 local Buffalo people. The event was the first of its kind and was held in the new Alfiero Center in which the School of Management is housed.
“This event continued to instill the community spirit fostered amongst the MBA students, faculty and staff,” explained Adam Osteryoung, GMA treasurer.
Scott Eidens, GMA president, also commented on the involvement of the students and was pleased with the turnout.

On behalf of the MBA student body, the GMA would like to thank Team MBA for the continued support for the University at Buffalo MBA community service efforts. It is by the assistance and encouragement of Team MBA and all the schools participating that the MBA program is inspired to do bigger and better things to improve our community.
