What is Team MBA?

Team MBA is an initiative in which students, faculty, staff, and friends of the MBA community gather together to perform community service or participate in charity events to promote the goodwill of the MBA.

How can my school participate?

Simply select a community or charity activity in your area in which you wish to participate, then contact us at teammba@gmac.com or call 1-703-245-4343 with the details and we’ll send you the t-shirts you need. We can also support your school’s communications department in promoting the event to your local media.

Do all Team MBA events have to be sporting events?

No! A Team MBA group can participate in any community service or charity activity, such as building houses for the homeless, volunteering at a food bank, or reading to children.

Does it cost anything to participate?

There is no fee for creating a Team MBA in your area, and we provide the t-shirts free of charge for your event. The only cost to you is any registration fee that may be required by the organization holding the event, or a fundraising requirement if the event is a fundraiser.

How do I get the t-shirts for my event?

It’s as easy as sending an email to teammba@gmac.com or by calling 1-703-245-4343 about the event you plan to participate in and we will send you the t-shirts.

Can we add our school or other student organization logo to the Team MBA t-shirts?

Absolutely! We encourage you to add your school’s logo or other student organization logo or crest to the Team MBA t-shirts to promote our partnership.

Will I receive any support for my event?

Yes! You will receive t-shirts free of charge for your participants. In addition, we can support your communications department in promoting the event to your local media. We will also promote your event in GMAC^® communications.

Should we take pictures of our event?

Yes! We encourage you to take photos of your Team MBA in action and provide them to your school’s communications office and to send us copies for posting on the Team MBA website.

Does Team MBA hold any national events?

Yes! Team MBA will be participating in the Livestrong Challenge, a series of events in five cities this summer and fall. The Livestrong^® Challenge supports the Lance Armstrong Foundation in its mission to provide cancer awareness and inspire people affected by cancer to live life to the fullest.
