Look here for results from the 2012 Corporate Recruiters Survey in May.

The Corporate Recruiters Survey is our annual survey of employers that recruit on b-school campuses. In 2011, 1,509 employers from 905 companies (pdf) participated in the Corporate Recruiters Survey, representing 51 countries worldwide, and 40 US states plus the District of Columbia. A total of 127 business schools (pdf) in 34 countries around the globe facilitated the survey administration.

Highlights From the 2011 Survey

• 54% of Class of 2011 graduates received employment offers—the best since 2007!
• European companies were poised to exceed the average annual MBA starting salary offered by US employers.
• Demand for MBA graduates in the US was expected to be strongest in finance, accounting, & health care; in Europe, energy and utilities; and in Asia, high tech, products & services, finance, and accounting.

Survey Overview

Each year, through the cooperation of participating schools, GMAC surveys employers that work with schools to hire new graduates and alumni to gather data about the job market for graduate management alumni as well as their expected salaries in various industries and job levels in coming year. The survey also gathers information about employer satisfaction with recent hires of MBA and other management programs and their satisfaction with the school career services offices with whom they recently worked.

Who Uses the Survey Results?

Results from this survey provide feedback for schools on how their students evaluate their program and provide benchmark data on how that data compares with feedback from the market as a whole. The report also provides benchmark data on the success of their students in acquiring a job compared with other upcoming graduates.
