The 2010 conference recognized that Change is Constant. The conference discussed how you can leverage change in your programs and schools, and how collectively we might take advantage of change to make a positive impact on graduate management education. The 2010 keynote and concurrent sessions, combined with opportunities to network, share and learn from each other, offered attendees myriad opportunities to explore the ideas that change is good, change is growth and yes, Change is Constant!

The conference was open to professionals at schools that accept the GMAT exam as part of the admissions process.  Attendees included graduate management admission professionals of all levels working in Admissions, Marketing, and MBA Program Management.

The 2010 registration fees included all scheduled meals, social events, and program materials as follows:

  • GMAC Member Schools US$575 (registration for GMAC Primary & Alternate Representatives is complimentary)
  • Non-Member Schools US$750

Ground Transportation & Parking Options

The hotel is located two miles from the airport and can be reached by shuttle, taxi or car.

Ground Transportation:

  • Shuttle: Four Star Airport Shuttle one way service is US$6. The shuttle runs every 15 and 45 minutes past the hour. At the airport follow the signs to the hotel shuttle.
  • Taxi: Estimated one way taxi fare is US$12.
  • Car: Driving directions from the airport: Turn left on Harbor Drive. Follow Harbor Drive along the waterfront. The hotel will be about 2 miles on the right.

Parking Options:

  • On-site parking, fee: US$10 hourly and US$22 daily.
  • Valet parking, fee: US$32 daily.
  • In/out privileges included in self and valet parking rates.

Steven Levitt
William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago, Author of Freakonomics and Super Freakonomics
Co-author of the phenomenal bestselling business book Freakonomics, and winner of the highly esteemed John Bates Clark Medal as the most influential economist in America under the age of 40, Steven D. Levitt not only discusses the financial crisis in simple terms that anyone can understand, he also works with businesses to apply his Freakonomics approach (combining data, economic theory, and unorthodox thinking) to the business world.



Rich Lyons
Bank of America Dean, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley 
Prior to becoming dean in July, 2008, he served as the chief learning officer at Goldman Sachs in New York, a position he held since 2006.  As chief learning officer, Dean Lyons was responsible for leadership development among the firm's managing directors. He served as acting dean of the Haas School from 2004 to 2005 and as executive associate dean and Sylvan Coleman Professor of Finance from 2005 to 2006.  He received his Bachelor of Science with highest honors from University of California, Berkeley (Finance) and his Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Economics).  Before joining Haas, Dean Lyons spent six years on the faculty at Columbia Business School.  His teaching expertise is in international finance.

Annual Meeting of GMAC Member Schools | Thursday, June 24
Sign in for the Annual Meeting will be from 4:30 - 5 pm, the Annual Meeting will be held from 5 - 6 pm. Important travel information for Primary and Alternative Representatives of GMAC Member Schols can be found in the Travel Guidelines and the Travel Reservation Form (to be submitted to the travel agent).

Admission Directors Symposium (ADS) | Wednesday, June 23 - Thursday, June 24
The program will begin on Wednesday, June 23, with registration at 5:30 pm, dinner and programming at 6 pm and conclude with a wrap up on Thursday, June 24 at 2:45 pm. This pre-conference workshop is designed for Admission Directors of GMAC Member schools.  This year, we bring back the facilitated discussions that provide you with the opportunity to network, share, and learn with colleagues.  We will also add one or two thought-provoking, expert-led sessions based on your feedback in our Winter and Spring 2010 ADS surveys.
Registration fee is US$100.    

Deputy Admission Directors Symposium (DADS) | Wednesday, June 23 - Thursday, June 24
 
The program will begin on Wednesday, June 23, with registration at 5:30 pm, dinner and programming at 6 pm and conclude with a wrap up on Thursday, June 24 at 2:45 pm. This pre-conference workshop is designed for all Deputy Admission Directors of GMAC Member schools.  DADS provides an opportunity to network, share with colleagues through facilitated discussions, and learn via expert-led break-out sessions.
Registration fee is US$100. 

EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Breakfast | Friday, June 25 | 7:30 - 8:30 am 
The GMAC London office would like to invite attendees from Europe, Middle East and Africa regions for a special breakfast hosted for business schools based in the EMEA regions. The breakfast will be an informal opportunity for you to connect and network with your colleagues from the region, and also to learn more about the work of the GMAC London office.

APAC (Asia and Pacific) Breakfast | Friday, June 25 | 7:30 - 8:30 am 
The GMAC APAC (Asia and Pacific) office would like to invite attendees from Asia and the Pacific for a special breakfast hosted for business schools based in the APAC region.
