Who uses the survey results?

Reports from the MBA Alumni Perspectives Surveys are frequently used to help drive strategic decision-making processes in graduate business schools. Survey results provide invaluable feedback on skills assessments and gaps, acceptance in the job market, and overall job satisfaction.

MBA Alumni Perspectives Survey

This biannual survey is a follow-up study of past participants of the Global MBA® Graduate Survey. Each year, about three-quarters of those surveyed express interest in participating in longitudinal studies tracking their career decisions and job satisfaction.

Major findings from the most recent surveys:

  • Financial outcomes drive overall satisfaction with the graduate business degree.
  • Alumni recoup about 47% of their investment in education 6 months after graduation. Half  of the alumni recoup their full investment within 7 years.
  • A majority of alumni feel that pursuing a graduate business degree was the right decision.
  • On average, the most recent business school graduate earns US$92,360 annually. Alumni who graduated in 2000 earn 78% more than that—US$164,628 per year—on average.
