Who Should Attend?

PDP is designed for professionals from GMAT® using schools with up to two years of experience in business school admissions. Attendees come from a variety of schools—large and small, public and private, global and regional. Although they have only recently begun to work with a graduate business program, many have held responsible positions in the corporate world or other areas of the university.

From associate dean to director to admissions officer, PDP will provide you with added skills that can enhance your job performance. If your primary role lies outside the admissions function, such as in career or student services, PDP can offer you a new understanding of graduate business admissions issues and processes and the language for cross-functional cooperation. If, by July, you will have been in your new position for less than three months, we suggest you attend PDP in July 2010.  PDP has a limit of two participants from any one school until the registration deadline.

Overview

This was the 28th consecutive year GMAC® has provided this unique, intense, five-day program focused on b-school admissions and the admissions process. PDP "graduates" return to their schools to apply new knowledge in their daily responsibilities, utilizing a common foundation of professionalism and integrity.

The skills-based program delivers an in-depth exploration of key issues in business school admissions. Throughout the week, attendees participate in large- and small-group discussion sessions, analyze casework, and engage in other learning activities that create a foundation for career success.

PDP participants meet colleagues, participate in team-based group work, learn from a talented teaching staff, and share experiences. As a result, participants form friendships and create a rich professional network of colleagues who support each other for years to come. As one PDP graduate said, "PDP was the most critical part of my entry into the world of graduate management admissions. I learned invaluable skills and made lifelong friends who have helped me throughout my career."

Because this is a cohorted learning experience, all registrants must be able to attend the entire program from Sunday afternoon to Thursday afternoon.

The 2008 program registration fee included 4 nights accommodations, scheduled meals, and program materials - for GMAC Member Schools: US$1,800.00 and Non-Member Schools: US$2,400.00.
