Thunderbird Tapped to Train Iraqi Officials
Thunderbird School of Global Management has been asked by the U.S. Force’s Iraq Training and Advisory Mission and the Iraqi government to provide executive development for senior officials from the Iraq Ministry of Interior, the country’s hub of internal security operations.

Thunderbird Corporate Learning custom-developed an executive program for Iraqi officials who are touring the United States. The program teaches leadership and business skills designed to inspire change and strengthen the ministry’s strategic capacity and self-sufficiency. The first planned session focused on the impact of globalization on business, market forces that were relatively unknown in Iraq during the Saddam Hussein regime. Participants will also learn about global supply chain management, budgeting and finance, managerial professionalism, the impact of IT, critical decision-making, and negotiation strategy.
