Pilot-Testing the GMAT at Fort Hood

As part of Operation MBA, a GMAC program designed to bring more military officers and senior enlisted personnel into the MBA pipeline, GMAC is offering the GMAT at Fort Hood in Texas.

Starting this month, four testing stations will be set up at Fort Hood to handle the GMAT exam. The test will be offered two days per week. PearsonVUE, a partner with GMAC in the GMAT, is coordinating the pilot project.

If proven successful, the pilot program could lead to testing in the future at other military bases inside and outside the United States.

This project is part of a broad GMAC effort to make the GMAT more accessible and convenient for test takers. A related initiative is the GMAT Mobile Test Center—familiarly known as the “GMAT Bus”—which started its second national tour on October 2. The bus brings the GMAT to test takers, enhancing access to the test for candidates for programs in graduate management education.
